Rallye, Rundstrecke, Breitensport ein vielf ltiges PS-Engagement
Schaeffler im Motorsport 2013
Schaeffler geh rt seit jeher zu den Innovationstreibern: In der Liste der Patentanmeldungen belegt das Unternehmen mit seinen Produktmarken INA, LuK und FAG traditionell Spitzenpl tze. Mit 1.832 im Jahre 2012 im Deutschen Patent- und Markenamt (DPMA) angemeldeten Patenten rangiert Schaeffler erneut auf Rang vier. Dieselbe Position sicherte sich 2012 DTM-Starter Mike Rockenfeller. Damit war der Pilot des gelb-gr nen Schaeffler-DTM-Boliden bestplatzierter Audi-Fahrer. 2011 gelang Martin Tomczyk im Schaeffler-Audi der DTM-Titelgewinn. Den hat auch Mike Rockenfeller 2013 im Visier. Aber nicht nur in der DTM starten die ebenso auff llig wie sympathisch gestalteten Rennwagen im Schaeffler-Design. Der renommierte Partner der Automobilindustrie und Industrie-Zulieferer ist in verschiedenen Motorsport-Disziplinen engagiert.
DTM
Seit 2011 ist der farbenfrohe Schaeffler-Audi der Blickfang in der DTM. Das leuchtende Gelb und das strahlende Gr n stehen f r die Schaeffler-Produktmarken LuK und INA. Wie schon 2012 sitzt auch in dieser Saison Mike Rockenfeller in dem vom Audi Sport Team Phoenix eingesetzten DTM-Audi. Und der schnelle Schaeffler-Repr sentant geht mit einer besonderen Verpflichtung in die Saison 2013. In den letzten beiden Jahren war der Schaeffler-Audi jeweils das beste Auto der Marke mit den vier Ringen in der DTM-Gesamtwertung. Nat rlich werde ich alles daransetzen, mein Auto auch in diesem Jahr wieder so gut wie m glich zu platzieren. Am Ende der Saison erneut bester Audi-Pilot zu sein, ist mein Minimalziel , erkl rt Rockenfeller. Als Markenbotschafter startet zudem der zweimalige DTM-Champion Timo Scheider weiterhin mit den Logos der Schaeffler-Marken auf dem Rennoverall.
Offroad-Racing, Baja 1000
Weit mehr als nur Sponsor ist die Unternehmensgruppe Schaeffler f r Armin Schwarz und das All German Motorsport Team, das in Escondido, rund 50 Kilometer n rdlich von San Diego, in Kalifornien beheimatet ist. Schwarz und sein amerikanischer Partner Martin Christensen starten mit ihrem gelb-gr nen Jimco X6 Trophy Truck in der amerikanischen Offroad-Serie SCORE. Die wilden Rallyes, meistens durch w sten hnliche Gebiete in Nevada, Kalifornien und Mexiko, geh ren zu den h rtesten Herausforderungen f r Mensch und Material im Offroadsport. Die Rennen sind bis zu 1.000 Meilen lang. Dabei werden im offenen Gel nde Spitzengeschwindigkeiten von ber 200 km/h gefahren. Schaeffler ist f r das AGM-Team nicht nur Ausr ster, sondern ein wichtiger Entwicklungspartner. Radlager, Getriebelager, Komponenten der Radaufh ngung, Drehmomentwandler die Schaeffler-Produktmarken FAG, INA und LuK stellen dem Team zahlreiche Bauteile zur Verf gung. Nach den Rennen werden besonders beanspruchte Teile in den Schaeffler-Laboren genau analysiert und gegebenenfalls den speziellen Anforderungen dieser Rallyes angepasst.
VLN
Die Langstreckenmeisterschaft auf dem N rburgring (VLN) ist die wohl h rteste Breitensportserie im Motorsport. Alle Rennen werden auf dem N rburgring gefahren, und zwar auf der Kombination aus Grand-Prix-Kurs und Nordschleife. Vor allem die sogenannte Gr ne H lle ist auch 86 Jahre nach ihrer Er ffnung immer noch die ultimative Herausforderung f r jeden Rennfahrer und sein Sportger t. Auf keiner anderen Rundstrecke wird das Material h rter belastet als auf diesen knapp 25 Kilometern durch die Eifel. Genau das richtige Terrain, um technische Zuverl ssigkeit zu beweisen. Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket ist seit 2010 Partner von Bonk Motorsport, einem der erfolgreichsten Teams der VLN. 70 Klassensiege im Langstreckenpokal und drei Klassenerfolge beim 24-Stunden-Rennen stehen in der Erfolgsbilanz des Teams der Br der Peter und Michael Bonk. In der Saison 2013 setzt die Mannschaft aus M nster unter anderem einen BMW M3 GT4 in der Klasse SP10 ein, der in dem aus der DTM bekannten gelb-gr nen Schaeffler-Design gestaltet ist.
Truck Racing
Die Partnerschaft zwischen Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket und dem MKR Technology Truck Tracing Team um Mario Kress in der FIA European Truck Racing Championship (ETRC) geht 2013 in eine neue Runde. F r die beiden technisch optimierten und optisch aufgefrischten MKR-Boliden steuern die Aftermarket-Spezialisten Innovationen aus dem Hause LuK bei: Lenkhelfpumpe und Rennkupplung gew hrleisten eine griffige Kurvenfahrt sowie eine optimale Kraft bertragung auf den Asphalt. Am Steuer der knapp 1.200 PS starken Trucks sitzen die erfahrenen Piloten Adam Lacko (CZ) und Markus B siger (CH) beide waren bereits 2012 erfolgreich f r das MKR-Team am Start. Auf Basis der Erkenntnisse aus der vergangenen Saison haben wir unsere Trucks weiter verbessert vor allem im Motorbereich und am Fahrwerk. Wir gehen optimistisch in die neue Saison , sagt Teamchef Mario Kress.
Traktor Pulling
Kaum ein Motorsportger t bringt mehr Leistung mit in den Wettkampf als die Zugmaschinen im Traktor Pulling. 8.000 PS sind in der offenen Klasse keine Seltenheit. Allerdings geht es in dieser Disziplin nicht um die Zeit. Vielmehr kommt es auf clevere Fahrtechnik an, wenn die Maschinen beim Traktor Pulling ein Bremsgewicht hinter sich herziehen. Idealerweise ber die volle 100-Meter-Distanz, den sogenannten Full Pull. Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket unterst tzt auch in der Saison 2013 international erfahrene Tractor Pulling Teams: das britische Bear Essentials Pulling Team mit seinen beiden Traktoren Ice Bear und Baby Bear sowie das Le Coiffeur Pulling Team (LCPT) des amtierenden Deutschen Meisters Frank Bartholom . Wie schon 2012 startet das Team aus Bad Iburg mit seinem in den Farben der Schaeffler-Produktmarken INA und LuK gestalteten Traktor, dessen 37,6-Liter-Flugzeugmotor von Rolls-Royce 4.000 PS leistet.
