Virtual Eye Powers Broadcast Graphics Across Golf Productions in Busy Three-Event Week

Deploying both onsite and remote crews, the company is providing calibrated-camera, drone, 3D images for tournaments in three countries

This week, Virtual Eye is supplying broadcast graphics across three concurrent golf broadcasts - PGA TOUR's Memorial Tournament in Dublin, U.S. Women's Open in Florida, and DP World Tour's KLM Open in Amsterdam - delivering 13 broadcast outputs alongside its online platforms.

The New Zealand-based company is fielding dedicated, tour-specific crews for each event, with operators in both onsite positions and remote studios in New Zealand, London, Dublin, and Ohio and at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, CA.

At the KLM Open, Virtual Eye is running VTWIN and VPLAY and debuting a live putt-prediction path available over any camera.

ShotCast powered by Cisco returns with a next-generation experience offering dynamic shot trails, 3D hole imagery, green views, AI-powered shot commentary, and video highlights, available live or on-demand on the USGA App and at uswomensopen.com.

Virtual Eye's remote operation in New ZealandBen Taylor, EVP, production and commercial, Virtual Eye, attributes the company's ability to staff three events at once to a broadcast-operator training program run with Otago Polytechnic in New Zealand, where up to 10 students at a time learn to operate Virtual Eye's tools in a live broadcast environment.

The three-event week is becoming routine, he notes: most weeks involve at least two golf events, and three-event weeks are increasingly common.
