Hit House Writes Original Music for Wildly Popular Superfan Netflix TV Spot Starring Ricky Gervais

Top music production company The Hit House wrote and produced the original music featured within a wildly popular new Netflix TV spot entitled Superfan, starring Ricky Gervais. The new spot made its debut during last week's Emmy Awards telecast. Sally House, Executive Producer at The Hit House, made the announcement.

Written by Hit House composer Scott Miller, the music track used within Superfan, entitled Polly Esther, comes from The Hit House's Funny Bone Comedy Collection. Sally House said, Before funnyman Ricky Gervais could make his cameos within the groundbreaking Netflix series House of Cards,' Orange Is The New Black' and Lilyhammer,' he and Netflix turned to Ignition Creative for the hilarious production, and Ignition Creative's music department called The Hit House for our track Polly Esther.' In the spot, Gervais (himself a star of the Netflix original series Derek, ) makes unexpected guest appearances as though he were a character on such Netflix shows as Orange Is the New Black, House of Cards and Lilyhammer. You know when youre watching your favorite Netflix show, Gervais says to the viewer, and after five straight episodes, you want to be in it?

Adds Composer Scott Miller, I love to see comedy when the storyline starts off in politics and ends up in the prison system. We are so proud we were able to help emphasize the comedic impact of this spot. We kept a smile on our faces the whole time!

We heard the general idea of the Netflix spot, and we knew that the Hit House team would knock it out of the park. Not only are they experts in comedy (as well as in a variety of other genres,) but they were willing to make tweaks, create re-writes, and tend to our challenging, ever changing needs -- all so the spot would turn out just as we had imagined.
