Progre of Industrial Bases EnergizedBeilun s Economy

As the embodiment of cluster effect, industrial bases shoulder the task to facilitate structural changes and industrial transformation. In the first half of 2016, all industrial bases in Beilun progressed steadily as to industrial transformation and upgrading, project development, cost efficiency and so on, greatly energizing the district's economy.

In the new normal economy, industrial bases actively sought for business transformation in order to improve competitiveness. The Dagang High-tech industrial base adopted multiple measures to increase output per mu to revive the old industrial park. In the first six month, three projects were finished to clear out the old firms to make room for the new which in this case were Qiangxun Technology, Shenzhou Logistics and Tayko New Material; ten enterprises successfully applied for their robot labor projects; moreover, a district e-commerce industrial base, an e-business incubation base and a young entrepreneurs incubation park were established and meanwhile a special e-commerce product platform came into being with a focus on innovative business modes.In 2016 the bases will also highlight the development of a makerspace and an O2O e-commerce platform of quality products.

The introduction of new projects infused new energy into the industrial bases. The Daqi High-end Molds& Auto Parts Project has begun to see returns. Meanwhile, other new projects are progressing stably. By June, many projects have been initiated, including Longyuan Precision Machinery, Shuishangdian Fishing tackle, Aomate High-speedPresidion Press, etc. Among them, projects of Xusheng Machinery and Aikesen Electronics are expected to finish by the end of the year.

In the Xiaogang Equipment Base, a crop of projects are under busy construction, including Ningbo WeishengZhuoyueSafety Products Co., Ningbo Hwamda Machinery Manufacturing Products Co., Ltd, etc.

After years of development, each base has fostered distinct features, gradually becoming the main engine of the district's industrial progress. In the first six months, Beilun Frozen Food Market opened in the Xiapu Modern International Logistics Base. In the future, permanent exhibition booths of Japan, South Korea and Ukraine will be set up. Besides quality assurance, citizens can also enjoy lower prices as the market omittedmultipleintermediate links.

As Geely's two models, Borui and Boyue, were put to production in its Chunxiao Base, the auto industry boomed in the district. In the first half of 2016, the industrial output of enterprises above the designated size reached 17.9bn yuan. With other projects anticipated to roll out car trims and seats within the year, the auto industry chain will be further improved.

An intensive growth embodied regional economic creativity. In the first half of 2016, there were two district engineering centers founded in Dagang High-tech Base. Currently the base hasaccommodated 44 high-tech firms, accounting for 36.4% of the whole district, and now another 5 were also planned. So far, there are one national corporate engineering center and 34 provincial ones.

Supported by the central business district, the high-end business bases strived to promote headquarter economy and modern service industries like high-end businesses, finance, shipping and commodities trading. As Phase two of Metro Line 1 was finished, the cluster effect and the guidance of business models in the district center were further enhanced.
