Object Matrix, leader in providing media focused private cloud platforms to the media and entertainment industry today announces that New York based MSG Networks has procured and installed 2 petabytes of its MatrixStore Digital Content Governance and object storage platform to provide business continuity for the MSG Networks production and post production environments.

MSG Networks required an intelligent storage platform to implement a large scale backup of critical systems and business continuity strategy to ensure content is always available across the estate. As with any infrastructure procurement within the MSG Networks business the solution must provide a strategic investment that can be utilised by various departments, that complements existing infrastructure, enables automated content protection and security whilst bringing efficiencies of scale.

MSG Networks turned to CineSys-Oceana, its trusted integration partner, to find, design and implement a solution to meet this pressing requirement. Together they concluded that the platform should be based on Object Storage to create a private or local cloud environment.

The solution consists of two 1 petabyte MatrixStore clusters with access to the content provided by standard interfaces and the Vision application provided by Object Matrix. The clusters are installed in two locations within the MSG Networks estate.
