Platinum Latin American Film Awards return to the Riviera Maya The gala will be held on May 12 at the Teatro Gran Tlachco of Xcaret (Riviera Maya, Mexico). TNT Latin America, and again for the fifth time, will broadcast the ceremony live for Latin America.

The Riviera Maya, one of the major tourist destinations of excellence in the world for the second consecutive year will host the awards ceremony of Platinum Awards Latin American Film.

Ceremony sixth edition will be held at the Teatro Gran Tlachco of Xcaret next May 12, 2019 and it will be broadcast for the Latin American community by TNT after signing a new agreement with the organization of the awards, for which he will broadcast the event live for three more years.

First global awards of the seventh art of the twenty Latin American countries repeated headquarters after having traveled to Panama in 2014, Marbella (Spain) in 2015, Punta del Este (Uruguay) in 2016, Madrid (Spain) in 2017 and Riviera Maya (Mexico) in 2018. Xcaret, Mexico Xcaret Hotel and Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya again be the epicentres of the audiovisual and cultural industry in the region during the week that will be the gala, also hosting events of "networking" the sector. Meanwhile, Best Day, will be responsible for covering the logistics and transportation needs throughout the week Platinum.

La gran celebraci n de la cultura iberoamericana fue presentada en la pasada edici n, celebrada en mayo de 2018, por el mexicano Eugenio Derbez y lleg a m s de 150 pa ses gracias a la emisi n realizada por TNT (Turner), encargada tambi n de transmitir para Am rica Latina otros grandes eventos como los Grammy, Oscar o Globos de Oro, as como por las televisiones de grandes grupos de comunicaci n mundiales de los diferentes pa ses de Iberoam rica. En otros pa ses transmitieron la gala La 1 (RTVE de Espa a), Televisa de M xico, Canal Brasil (Globo), Caracol de Colombia, Televisi n P blica Argentina, Galavision (Univision), TVN Chile, Telemetro de Panam , Telesistemas de Rep blica Dominicana, Venevision de Venezuela, RPC Paraguay, ATB Bolivia, TV Per , TNU (Uruguay), Ecuador TV y TreceVisi n Guatemala, entre otros canales nacionales iberoamericanos. Un factor determinante para que el hastag #PremiosPLATINO2018 fuera Trending Topic Mundial.

El valor de la repercusi n medi tica de la quinta edici n fue cifrada de forma muy conservadora por Kantar Media y Barlovento Comunicaci n en un m nimo de 80 millones de d lares. Generando un VPE (Valor Publicitario Equivalente) para Riviera Maya superior a los 55 millones de d lares. Los 300 periodistas acreditados para la ceremonia que encumbr a la producci n chilena Una mujer fant stica, de Sebasti n Lelio con cuatro galardones, contribuyeron a superar las 100.000 noticias generadas por los PLATINO durante 2018.

Platinum Awards Latin American Cinema are promoted by EGEDA (Management of Rights of Audiovisual Producers) that has FIPCA (American Federation of Film and Audiovisual Producers) and the support of the Academies and Institutes of Ibero-American cinema, Latin Artis and AISGE Foundation.
