Glenn Hoddle gets ITV England call up

Glenn Hoddle is to join ITV as a pundit for its exclusive live coverage of England internationals.

The former England player and manager will lend his experience and insight to ITV's on screen team alongside presenter Adrian Chiles and regular pundit Lee Dixon.

Glenn will make his first appearance for ITV in its coverage of the England v Denmark friendly international on Wednesday 5 March. He will also feature as part of ITV's pundit team for the World Cup in Brazil this summer. And Glenn will continue to provide punditry for ITV's exclusive live coverage of England's Euro 2016 qualifiers and friendly internationals in the build up to the tournament in France.

Glenn's role on ITV is for England international matches only, allowing him to continue appearing on Sky Sports as a regular expert analyst for club football across its channels.

Niall Sloane, ITV Director of Sport, said: Having both played for and managed England, and in both cases at World Cups, Glenn is a genuine rarity and we're delighted he is joining us to bring such unique insight to our coverage as we gear up to this summer in Brazil.

ITV will show exclusive live coverage of all England European Championship and World Cup qualifying matches and friendlies until 2018. ITV also holds the rights to show Champions League and Europa League matches and highlights until 2015, after which it will show Champions League highlights. ITV also shows live coverage and highlights of the FA Cup until the end of the current season.
