The 2018 edition of NBA All-Star Weekend once again served as a launch pad for next-gen technology and production workflows. As usual, Turner Sports had a big bag of tech toys on hand at Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles, including an RF pylon cam and three-point-shot-tracking at NBA All-Star Saturday, as well as an expanded truck compound, social-media efforts, and its virtual-reality co-production with Intel True VR. SVG also covered Saturday's expanded NBA All-Star Media Day, ESPN's NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, and host of vendors onsite.

Fox Sports Shifts Daytona 500 Production Into High Gear With New Cameras, Under-the-Hood Enhancements

At the 60th running of the Daytona 500, Fox Sports once again found a way to push the technological envelope and expand on the resources dedicated to broadcasting the Great American Race. Coverage included the introduction of Visor Cam, the return (and refinement) of the dedicated Car Channels on Fox Sports GO, and, in an industry first, a tethered drone that provided live coverage from behind the backstretch at Daytona International Speedway.
