Former Rhythm City actor Bohlokwa Mpiti has bagged the role of Reggie Pheko's son Karabo in Scandal!

SCANDAL!': WHO IS KARABO? Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela reports that the talented actor Bohlokwa Mpiti, who played the role of Zak in e.tv's canned soapie Rhythm City will play Makhaola Ndebele's spoiled son Karabo in Scandal!.

According to TVSA, Karabo is the only child of Reginald and his now-deceased mother. He became a spoilt brat, looking down on people he sees as lower class .

He adores his father and since his mother passed, their relationship strengthened. They are so close that sometimes Karabo misunderstands the parent-child dynamic, thinking of his father more as a friend than a parent. He loves his father's attention and sees anyone who takes it away from him as a threat.

He's a well-behaved son in front of his father but, as we'll soon find out, he can get up to some really dodgy things behind his back.

His father (played by Makhaola Ndebele) was introduced to the soapie as Khanyi-Jewel's art curator. He's now romantically involved with Dintle (Mapaseka Koetle-Nyokong).

Bohlokwa best known for playing Zachariah, Khulekani's son on Rhythm City has now joined the cast of the etv soapie.

BOHLOKWA MPITI'S PREVIOUS ROLES The actor Bohlokwa Mpiti is popularly known for his portrayal as Khulekani and Ziyanda's son Zak in the final season of Rhythm City.

He's also starred in Mzansi Magic's telenovelas Isithembiso, The Herd and 1Magic's Grassroots.

TVSA adds that Mpiti will first appear on Tuesday 22 November.
