Disney's epic movie The Lion King continues this year, and they've just released the trailer for the story's next instalment.

If you enjoyed the first 1994 movie, you might also have enjoyed the 2019 live-action movie by Jon Favreau. Yes, the same Favreau from Iron Man and other films!

The earlier 1994 animation became one of Disney's best-performing movies and part of many childhood memories.

Despite previous attempts at a sequel for The Lion King, the movie Mufasa continues the story in 2024.

Were you a fan of the original, and are you planning to see Mufasa?

Here's the first revealing trailer for Mufasa.

Mufasa: The Lion King' Mufasa continues the original story, and starts before events depicted in The Lion King.

An earlier look provides more context to Mufasa's backstory, and how we got to the events in Simba's life.

Mufasa briefly appears in the original movie.

However, there's one difference.

Mufasa: The Lion King is closer to live-action.

The 1994 Original Disney released the first Lion King movie in 1994.

There's also a 2019 movie made by Jon Favreau, for which Mufasa is considered its direct sequel.

The original featured the voices of James Earl Jones (Mufasa) and Jeremy Irons. Whoopi Goldberg and Rowan Atkinson were also featured in the original 1994 animation film.

The Lion King was also adapted into a successful international musical. You might have seen it before!

Everyone has their favourite scene from the first movie, though.
