It is written, Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. What a profound truth! A realization that eases the grip of life on man surrendering to God in all things. Partake in this feast as we consume food for the soul, nourishing the spirit in Breaking Bread. It is Monday, 1st August 2022.

Grace, God's gift to humanity God shows His grace to us through blessings on earth but also through spiritual blessings. This grace is not based on any human earnings. We cannot earn or buy the grace of God. No, it is a gift of pure love to us by God.

We should not see grace from God as justified earnings (as someone who does a certain job and gets paid for it). It should rather be seen as a deed of favour for our deeply rooted faith in God. Grace of God should be understood as the favour of God to all people without any distinction between believer and non-believer ( Romans 1:21).

The mere fact that the unsaved person or the non-believer performed good deeds in this world, also comes from the grace of our Lord. God does not judge our sins immediately but He delays His judgement over our sins to give us the opportunity to let go of our sins. Evil people, unsaved people do not receive the judgement of God immediately, and this also is a sign of the general grace of God (1 Peter 3: 9). When we see the proof of the general grace of God, it leads us to the truth of His Word.

The grace of God to us is unlimited. God fulfills our daily needs on the basis of His grace (Hebrews 4:16). We must therefore seek the throne of grace on a daily basis in order for us to be provided for on a daily basis through the grace of the Lord.

PRAYER Lord, today we embrace Your light in our lives. We will not walk in darkness because your light shines upon us through your grace. We know that life has a way of dragging us down through all its challenges but we know that You our God will lift us up through Your grace. We know that we will no longer be held down or held back because Your undeserved grace shines upon us. We pray this in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.

Genade is die onverdiende guns van n meerdere oor n mindere. In hierdie geval is dit God, die meerdere, wat aan die mens, aan ons, genade bewys. Hy bewys gewoonlik Sy genade met aardse of soms geestelike seeninge. Sy genade berus glad nie op enige of alle menslike verdienste nie. God se genade word geopenbaar deur Sy absolute goedheid en liefde aan ons.

Ons kan opsommend die volgende verklaar rakende God se genade:

God skenk onverdiende guns aan ons;

God bied ons redding as n gratis geskenk;

God het die vermo om genade aan ons te gee;

God se genade kan nie verdien of gekoop word nie;

God se genade ken geen perke nie;

Ons moet ten alle tye daarvan bewus wees dat dieselfde genade waarmee God ons red, ons bemagtig om in oorwinning te lewe, in vrede en geluk. God is nie kwaad vir ons indien ons foute maak nie. Nee, Hy het ons lief en is baie geduldig met ons. Hy is altyd daar wanneer ons val om ons op te tel en met Sy genade ons in die regte rigting te stuur. As gevolg van Sy genade sal Hy ons nooit verlaat nie.

GEBED Dankie Here dat U ten alle tye ons as sondaars genadig is. Dankie vir U geduld met ons om vir ons die geleentheid te skep om wat verkeerd is reg te maak. Dankie vir U onbeperkte genade. Dankie dat U vir ons redding bied as n gratis geskenk. Ons bid alles in die wonderlike naam van Jesus wat in staat is om ons lewe te transformeer. Amen.
