Telemundo back for more of Globos blockbusters

Network recently licensed Ambitious Women , Forever and Ever and the 2016 International Emmy nominee, Rules of the Game

One of Globo s most important partners in Latin America, Telemundo has just licensed three new Brazilian productions. Considered one of the leading Spanish-speaking networks in the U.S., Telemundo has been airing Globo productions to its audience for years, such as The Clone , Written in the Stars and Brazil Avenue . This time, the network bets on Ambitious Women , Forever and Ever and Rules of the Game , nominated for the 2016 International Emmy in two categories: Best Telenovela and Best Actor for Alexandre Nero ( Empire ). All three productions are featured in Globo s 2016 MIPCOM catalog. The telenovelas will be aired in sequence on Telemundo s noon time slot. The first will be Ambitious Women , replacing another Globo hit currently aired: Empire , which won the 2015 International Emmy.

Ambitious Women is about three strong and ambitious women driven by different reasons to fight real battles in a game of power, blackmail and justice, in order to achieve their goals. A total hit wherever it airs, the telenovela has already been licensed to countries such as Mozambique, Uruguay, Portugal and Ecuador. In the plot, Beatriz (Gl ria Pires, Irrational Heart ) is a wealthy woman who seems to have everything she needs, but follows a path without rules and a relentless hunger for power. In s (Adriana Esteves, Brazil Avenue ), with a character just as questionable as Beatriz, cultivates a mixture of envy and fascination for the former friend since her adolescence. Her hatred and lust for revenge are motivated by the certainty that her rival is guilty of her father s death, with whom Beatriz had an affair in the past. On the other hand, the humble and dreamer Regina (Camila Pitanga, Side by Side ) is the heroine of the plot. She struggles to achieve her goals, such as finding out who murdered her father, without resorting to sabotaging anyone s plans.

Forever and Ever plays around a fun and exciting plot. In Brazil, the telenovela reached more than 22 million viewers and captivated Internet audiences as well. Eighteen hashtags related to telenovela entered the Trending Topics in Brazil during the month of its premiere. In the plot, Ca que (S rgio Guiz ) has lived quite a few supernatural situations. Since his childhood, he has been drawing the face of a woman incessantly, even though he has never met her. Later in life, he meets Laura (Nathalia Dill, Brazil Avenue ) by chance and finds out that the woman in his drawings is real. They are both taken by an overwhelming feeling. Everything would be perfect if it weren t for the fact that she was already engaged to Marcos (Thiago Lacerda, Precious Pearl ), Ca que s brother, who will do anything to keep them apart.

The third telenovela chosen by Telemundo, Rules of the Game , revolves around the fine line between good and evil. One of Globo s highlights in Cannes, the telenovela has already been licensed to countries such as Israel, Armenia, Ecuador, Chile, Uruguay and Argentina. It was nominated for the International Emmy in the Best Telenovela and Best Actor categories. The plot s main character, Romero R mulo (Alexandre Nero), is a shady former politician who, despite being regarded as a people s hero, works for a powerful criminal group. Constantly crossing the border between right and wrong, Romero crosses paths with humble T ia (Vanessa Gi como, Trail of Lies ) and the ambitious Atena (Giovana Antonelli, Brave Woman ), who falls in love with him and is capable of anything to defend her beloved. From the same creators of the blockbuster Brazil Avenue , the telenovela features a star-studded cast, including Cau Reymond ( Brazil Avenue ), Tony Ramos ( India - A Love Story ), and Susana Vieira ( Trail of Lies ).
