Euskal Telebista will offer the 25S an innovative service of television enriched under HbbTV Based on technologies developed by Vicomtech-IK4, the viewer of ETB choose on its screen count data of a town or city, access to cameras that are not in the general emission and connect to your TV a phone, a tablet or a personal computer by choosing what information displayed on each screen.

To be able to offer this service, EiTB has the technological support of Vicomtech-IK4, the Basque technological centre based in the Miram n technology park. The Basque Club, whose co-founder is the own EiTB consists of more than one hundred researchers who develop innovative technologies in Computer Graphics, Visual Computing and Multimedia.

User experience now proposed by the Basque public television is based on technologies developed by Vicomtech-IK4 in collaboration with broadcasters internationally renowned as BBC, standards bodies such as W3C for HTML5 and IRT, promoter of the HbbTV standard.

In this framework of cooperation have been developed with standard technologies javascript libraries when they exist and extending these standards at the moment which has been necessary.

The aim of this technology is to give the broadcaster the possibility of developing a single application, with a comparable difficulty to the development of a web page, and that after use the developed libraries, will perform an automatic adaptation of the application to a multi-device user context. As a result, a single user can use different screens to view content and configure each device the content the way you want.
