4K 4Charity Fun Run at IBC 2015 Registration Opens

London and Portland: Tuesday 4 August 2015 Elemental Technologies, the leading supplier of software-defined video solutions for multiscreen content delivery, together with co-founding sponsor Ericsson, today announced open registration for the 4K 4Charity Fun Run to be held at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, 12 September 2015 in Amsterdam. Also sponsored by IBC2015, the 4km (2.49-mile) race is available to all registered IBC2015 attendees and commemorates major Ultra HD achievements while raising funds for CARE.
Join industry leaders such as Aspera, Brightcove, Clearleap and EVS in supporting the 4K 4Charity Fun Run at IBC2015. Sponsorship packages are still available but limited. The deadline for commitments is 17 July 2015.

Proceeds from the run will be designated to CARE, a leading humanitarian organization that fights global poverty. CARE focuses on community-based efforts to improve basic education, end gender-based violence, provide healthcare and nutrition, increase access to clean water and sanitation, expand economic opportunity, and protect natural resources.
IBC was thrilled to help usher in a new and hopefully enduring tradition for the video industry with the inaugural 4K 4Charity Fun Run held in September 2014, said Michael Crimp, CEO of IBC. We expect IBC2015 to be another successful show and we hope exhibitors and attendees alike join in with this healthy fun activity which also supports a good cause.
The 4K 4Charity Fun Run will start at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, 12 September and loop through Amstel Park, which is walking distance from the southeast corner of the RAI Exhibition and Conference Centre complex (Europaplein, 1078 GZ Amsterdam, Netherlands). After completing the race, participants can celebrate the event over light snacks and beverages.
Participation has grown dramatically since the first 4K 4Charity Fun Run in Amsterdam last year, said Laura Barber, senior manager publicity and events for Elemental. We've incorporated great feedback from prior runs and added new giving opportunities to improve the runner experience for the event at IBC2015. The 4K 4Charity Corporate Challenge is a new way for registrants to share the experience with colleagues and increase giving. A leaderboard on the 4K4Charity.com website will track the top 10 companies by number of registrations and amount of donations. Learn more at www.4K4Charity.com.
About the 4K 4Charity Fun Run
The 4K 4Charity Fun Run Series commemorates major Ultra HD achievements by the global media and entertainment industry and the technology vendors who support it. Open to registered attendees at select industry tradeshows, the 4km (2.49-mile) run promotes wellness, networking and charitable giving in a fun, casual environment. To date, this event has raised more than $60,000 for global charities, including OXFAM International and Heifer International as well as local charities, such as The Shade Tree.
