The renowned South African actor Zolisa Xaluva is set to make his much anticipated return to television in the show that is set to take the much coveted timeslot that was once dominated by the soon ending soapie Imbewu which will air its final episode on 14 April 2023.

More about Smoke & Mirrors The new show is the brainchild of production company The Final Chapter Production. The name of the new soapie that will be taking over the Imbewu timeslot is Smoke and Mirrors. The soapie is set in a small town called Emnyameni which is a mining town.

Here, we come to learn that the story lives up to its name- nothing and no one is truly as they seem. Introducing the character of Thandiswa, a hairdresser by day, an escort by night, and a girl on a mission to rid the town of The Unholy Trinity , the group of morally corrupt men who run Emnyameni.'

What is Zolisa's role? The statement according to Zalebs released by Etv added that the series is led by a female cast where the lead character of Thandiswa Mseleku will be played by Ayanda Bandla.

The show also features a stellar cast of male characters which will include Zolisa Xaluva. He is set to play the lead antagonist who is the leader of, The Unholy Trinity, which is the gang that Thandiswa will attempt to take down.
