Last Night on the Bachelor Canada: Brad s Search for Love Took Him from the Ranch to the Riviera

Bachelorettes Michelle B., Nicole, Sophie, and Tia sent home in week three

TORONTO (October 18, 2012) There was no shortage of horseplay and hot tubbing as the dating continued for Brad Smith and the bachelorettes last night on Citytv's The Bachelor Canada. Kicking things off, Brad and Kara got down and dirty for the only one-on-one date of the night at Sierra West Ranch in Lundbreck, AB. After learning how to herd cattle on horseback, the two enjoyed a romantic candlelit dinner, where Kara received the first rose of the week.

Then, turning up the heat, Brad and five bachelorettes took on the sunny south of Sayulita in Riviera Nayarit, Mexico, donating both toys and their time to a group of children at a local orphanage. Later, sending the rest of the girls back to the mansion, Brad chose Bianka for a special date aboard a luxury yacht. The second group date saw Brad and six girls channel their inner lumberjacks for a Pink vs. Blue Team competition at Sooke River Campground in Sooke, B.C. The winning team Chantelle, Laura B. and Sophie enjoyed a private dinner with Brad, serenaded by Canadian country crooner Dean Brody.

As the rose ceremony drew near, host Tyler Harcott delivered the shocking news that Brad had chosen to forego the cocktail party and out of fairness to both himself and the girls would be sending home four bachelorettes instead of two. With only Kara safe from elimination, the four bachelorettes who did not receive roses were (in alphabetical order):

Michelle B., 27 (yoga instructor), from Newmarket, ON

Nicole, 25 (optician), from St. Thomas, ON

Sophie, 26 (university recruitment agent), from Moncton

Tia, 25 (marketing coordinator), from Ottawa

Next week, Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT, Brad speaks the language of love in Paris, the City of Light, with one lucky bachelorette, while another is left heartbroken. Then, overwhelming jealousy causes one woman to make drastic moves for some coveted alone time with Brad, while the piercing agony of loss leaves another struggling over what to do next.
