NetApp SolidFire SF-Series 19210 and NetApp E2800 Named 2016 CRN Products of the Year Finalists

SUNNYVALE, Calif. - December 06, 2016 - NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) announced that CRN , a brand of The Channel Company, named the NetApp SolidFire SF-Series 19210 and the NetApp E2800 as finalists in the 2016 Products of the Year Awards in the Enterprise Storage and Midrange Storage categories. Recognized products represent best-in-class technological innovation as judged by CRN editors and the solution provider community at large.

The NetApp SolidFire SF-Series 19210 decreases the cost of all-flash arrays by offering the highest density and lowest cost per GB/IOPS, making it well suited for heavily virtualized and cloud infrastructures. The SF-Series 19210 delivers the full NetApp SolidFire feature set, including guaranteed quality of service, a true scale-out architecture, inline data reduction, complete system automation, and integration with VMware and OpenStack. The NetApp E2800 is an entry-level all-flash array designed for midsize businesses and remote offices that need a simple and cost-effective solution to support data analytics applications. Customers can reduce costs by roughly 35% and boost performance by 300,000 IOPS, giving them affordable storage to move data among hot, warm, cold, and frozen storage tiers.

In 2016, for the first time, the top 5 finalists in 17 different Products of the Year technology categories were selected by CRN editors, and solution providers rated those finalists to determine the winner. The Channel Company surveyed solution provider partners working with each of the finalists, asking them to rate the products on their technology, revenue and profit, and customer demand. The survey garnered over 5,000 responses.

Solution providers considered several factors in determining their ratings, including product quality and reliability, technical innovation, ease of integration, potential to drive revenue, and fulfillment of market and customer demands.
