Megacy fans were proud of rapper AKA-real name Kiernan Jarryd Forbes on Wednesday, 26 April, when record label executive Raphael Benza took to Instagram to share the amazing news that one of AKA's new songs from his Mass Country album had gone 5X platinum.

RAPHAEL BENZA ANNOUNCES LEMONS (LEMONADE)' GOES 5X PLATINUM' The Mass Country album was released on 24 February just two weeks after AKA died.

The rapper was shot and killed on 10 February outside Wish restaurant in Durban on Florida Street.

During his assassination, AKA's friend Tebello Tibz' Motsoane was also killed.

According to Spotify, AKA's Mass Country album features 14 tracks including Paradise, Company, and Dangerous which features his girlfriend Nadia Nakai and Blxckie.

Taking to his timelines on Wednesday, the record label executive said,

-- Benza was said to have last saw AKA on 7 February, and last spoke to him over the phone the day before he was killed, TimesLIVE reported. The friends and business associates were said to have discussed plans to work on a n new project in Nigeria.

Speaking to the publication after AKA's death, Benza was quoted as saying,

He [AKA] always looked up to me to fix things and correct things and this one I just cannot do so I feel really helpless and very sad and angry for him leaving us this way.
