Digital Alert Systems, a global leader in emergency communications solutions for media providers, today announced the release of Version 6 software for its DASDEC -III emergency messaging platforms. Designed to meet the evolving operational and security demands of modern broadcast environments, Version 6 introduces a new operating system that ensures long-term reliability, standards compliance, and a clear path for future innovation.

Version 6 represents a strategic modernization of the DASDEC-III core platform, developed in response to growing enterprise demand for hardened infrastructure. This foundation improves system performance, enhances security, and ensures continued interoperability as alerting workflows and regulatory requirements evolve.

In addition to the modernized core infrastructure, Version 6 includes the PLUS Package option for active encoder devices, delivering a powerful set of operational enhancements.

Key PLUS Package enhancements include

Instant alert visibility with automatic browser refresh

Expanded audio support, including MP3 and OGG/Vorbis streaming formats

Front-panel audible alerts for immediate operator awareness

Customizable alert messaging, including text and audio adjustments

Live sequencing of manually forwarded alerts

The upgrade is available for the DASDEC-III platform and is not mandatory. Customers using DASDEC-II or One-Net SEs will continue to receive support for Version 5.4, providing flexibility based on their existing infrastructure.

Version 6 is available at no cost to DASDEC-III customers who are enrolled in the company's Software Assurance Plan, have recently purchased a DASDEC, or participated in the UP TRADE program since October 2025.

Customers interested in upgrade eligibility or pricing for non-covered systems are encouraged to contact the factory directly with their unit's serial number.
