Coincidiendo con la apertura de Samsung Sitges Cocoon, la sala de contenidos fant sticos en realidad virtual que se ha incorporado este a o a la programaci n del Sitges Festival Internacional de Cinema Fant stic de Catalunya (que se celebra del 7 al 16 de octubre), Samsung y Nacho Vigalondo han anunciado su colaboraci n en un innovador proyecto cinematogr fico que ha permitido rodar una pieza de terror en realidad virtual.
La pieza de terror en realidad virtual dirigida por Nacho Vigalondo, que se estrenar en el festival de ocio digital Samsung MadFun el pr ximo 21 de octubre en Madrid, ha sido concebida y rodada ntegramente con tecnolog a de realidad virtual. Para la industria del cine, la tecnolog a de realidad virtual abre un nuevo lenguaje narrativo y visual que juega con los sentidos y la percepci n de los espectadores y los coloca en el centro de la acci n. La historia de terror dirigida por Nacho Vigalondo se desarrolla en un espacio de realidad virtual y aprovecha el efecto inmersivo para hacer sentir al espectador un personaje m s , ha destacado Eduardo Rodr guez, director del rea de consumo de la divisi n IM de Samsung Espa a.
El proyecto que me plante Samsung me interes desde el primer momento ya que me permit a aprovechar la tecnolog a de realidad virtual para explorar un lenguaje cinematogr fico completamente nuevo. Esta pieza de terror naci para ser virtual, e invita al espectador a ser parte de la narraci n y a vivir al m ximo el suspense, la intriga y el miedo que le provocar la historia , se ala Vigalondo.

Samsung y el Sitges Festival Internacional de Cinema Fant stic de Catalunya se han unido este a o para ofrecer a los espectadores una nueva sala, Samsung Sitges Cocoon, en la que se podr disfrutar de impactantes y terror ficas experiencias inmersivas gracias a los contenidos audiovisuales que ofrece Samsung Gear VR. Cada espectador dispondr de una butaca, un dispositivo Samsung Gear VR con Galaxy S7 y de unos auriculares que le permitir n explorar nuevos mundos y sumergirse de lleno en la acci n, decidiendo d nde quiere dirigir su mirada en cualquier momento del relato.
La sala Samsung Sitges Cocoon ofrece una selecci n de experiencias art sticas y tecnol gicas de corte fant stico. Est ubicada en el exterior del Auditori Meli Sitges, sede oficial del Festival, y permanecer abierta hasta el 15 de octubre.
