Gqom stars Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha gave Mzansi a glimpse into their lives in 2021 with season one of their reality show, Uthando Lodumo. Almost a year later, the couple is back for season two and the trailer promises drama right from the start! Showmax officially released the trailer for Uthando Lodumo season two on Tuesday 16 August.

UTHANDO LODUMO' IS BACK FOR SEASON TWO Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha shared their wedding journey with South Africa in season one of Uthando Lodumo. In the season two trailer of the hit reality series, Babes and Mampintsha are navigating life as a married couple with their baby boy, Sponge.

In a marriage, the ceremony is not that important. What's important is the journey you are about to embark on together, says the narrator in the trailer's opening.

In season two of the show, the couple will address Mampintsha's mother's remarks about Babes' misleading and controlling her husband.

It doesn't sit well with me when our families are fighting each other, says Mampintsha.

MORE DRAMA ON UTHANDO LODUMO' The couple will also open up about their baby boy, Sponge and the two Gqom stars will also butt heads with each other.

In the upcoming series, Babes will also address Mampintsha about his mother's remarks toward her.

Mampintsha needs to man up and tell his mother that she is wrong, says Babes.

You always want to fight. You've got pent-up anger, Babes says to Mampintsha.

The series is set to be released on 1 September.

OVERCOMING CHALLENGES When season one of Uthando Lodumo was announced in 2020, Nomsa Philiso, MultiChoice channel director of local entertainment, said the show would focus on the issues they have faced as a couple.

Babes and Mampintsha's relationship has not been a fairy tale romance, Philiso said at the time.

The show focuses on how they have overcome their challenges, working through them with their families.
