African's biggest podcast, Podcast and Chill, which is hosted by MacGyver Mukwevho aka MacG, and broadcaster Sol Phenduka reportedly makes R320k a month/R3.8 million per annum from YouTube Ad Sense. This amount excludes sponsorships and partnerships, according to controversial blogger Musa Khawula.

PODCAST AND CHILL'S' EARNINGS The award-winning podcast Podcast and Chill with MacG which made headlines earlier this month when it was reported that one of its hosts Sol Phenduka is joining Kaya 959. The YouTube channel has more than 660k subscribers aka chillers and reportedly makes R320k per month which equates to R3.8 million a year, according to Musa Khawula.

Briefly reports that the first episode of the podcast was released in July of 2018 and over 300 episodes have since been released, with more and more chillers tuning in from around the world.

The team discusses current events and entertainment news and often interview celebrities who discuss their journeys through life and the entertainment industry.

Mgosi reports that the popular channel also has a sponsor and a chiller' market and that Sol and MacG also make money from deejaying on weekends.

SOL AND MACG TRAVEL TO THE UK The podcasters Solomon Phenduka and Macgyver Mukwevho also announced on their YouTube channel that they're travelling to the United Kingdom for their UK and Friends UK tour this coming weekend.

Their shows will begin on Friday 15 July in Manchester and end on Sunday 17 July in Birmingham. The broadcasters also revealed that they'll be performing exclusive DJ sets in London.

They will also record a live podcast in Birmingham which will be followed by an after-party to bid farewell to their fans in the UK.

Phenduka revealed in an interview with Daily Sun that this wasn't their first tour as a channel but that it was his first international tour as a DJ.

It's my first international tour as a DJ, but as a podcast, we've been doing tours and recording broad.

The Kaya 959 breakfast host also tells the publication that they've been preparing sets for a month or two as they have followers in the UK.

He also adds that their fans should expect exclusive sets abroad as they have a huge following overseas.
