London, 30th October 2018 Award winning entertainment channel Dave will bring another brand new scripted comedy commission to air in 2019 with Sliced (3x40). Starring and co-written by BAFTA-nominated Samson Kayo (Timewasters, Famalam), Sliced is a UKTV Original following Joshua (Kayo) and his best mate Ricky (Theo Barklem-Biggs - Ballot Monkeys, Kingsman: The Secret Service) as two pizza delivery drivers in South London.
Sliced is written by Samson Kayo and Phil Bowker (PhoneShop, The Javone Prince Show), directed by Al Campbell (Bad Education, Man Down, Drifters) and produced by Lovely Electricity. Sliced focuses on Joshua and Ricky, two mates who just want to make some money, move out of their mums and meet some women - is that too much to ask for? If only all the ridiculous stuff that keeps happening to them would stop getting in the way.
Samson Kayo said,
Weve got great scripts and an amazing cast and were really looking forward to making you fart with laughter. if we dont make you fartlaugh then as far as Im concerned, we havent done our job properly.
Sliced is commissioned by UKTV head of scripted Pete Thornton and ordered for Dave by Richard Watsham, director of commissioning, and Steve North, genre general manager, entertainment and comedy.

Sliced is just the latest exciting new addition to the raft of UKTV Originals on Dave. It joins other established scripted commissions such as Zapped, currently in its third series, and Porters. And Dave continues to work with the biggest names in British comedy, with the ever-increasing popularity of Taskmaster, Judge Romesh, Jon Richardson: Ultimate Worrier, Beat The Internet with John Robins and brand new panel show Hypothetical, hosted by Josh Widdicombe with James Acaster. Expedition with Steve Backshall, a brand new co-production with BBC, airs in 2019.
Sliced comes to Dave next year.
