The Blackmagic Production Camera 4K is available from February at a new low price of US$2,995.

Grant Petty, CEO of Blackmagic Design said of the camera: The Blackmagic Production Camera 4K is a perfect companion for ATEM Production 4K switchers and we hope the new low price will help more customers to expand their Ultra HD live production set ups with even more camera angles!

The super high resolution 4K digital production camera is ideal for Ultra HD television production and features a large super 35 sensor, professional global shutter as well as EF- and ZE-compatible lens mount. The ability of the camera to capture high quality ProRes files gives users an opportunity to shoot high-resolution videos suitable for television productions, commercials, music videos, sports coverage and documentaries.

The camera comes with a built-in SSD recorder, rechargeable battery and a large 5 LCD touchscreen which allows users to enter metadata and change camera settings on an easy-to-use interface. A full copy of DaVinci Resolve is also included which allows for quality colour grading and finishing on Mac OS X and Windows computers.
