Der miniCASTER wurde von TV1.EU entwickelt und ist ein hardware-basierter H.264 HD Camera-Top Live Encoder im Taschenformat. Er wandelt jedes Kamera- oder Video-Quellsignal in einen IP-basierten Livestream und sendet sowohl ber Telefonleitung, Dualband WiFi, Satellit oder auch 3G/4G-Netzwerke an die f hrenden Content Delivery Networks und Video Plattformen. Der miniCASTER-Encoder produziert parallel je einen HD- und einen SD-Stream und ist gleichzeitig in der Lage, die Streams auf die ger teinterne SD-Karte aufzuzeichnen. Durch die eingebaute Lithium-Batterie ist es m glich, autark zu arbeiten. Den miniCASTER-Encoder im Taschenformat gibt es in zwei verschiedenen Versionen (SDI und HDMI) und kann in Echtzeit ber ein webbasiertes Remote Management Portal gesteuert werden.
In Kombination mit dem miniCASTER-Receiver profitieren die Nutzer von einem Komplett-L sungs-Paket, das eine optimierte Signal-Verarbeitung bietet. Dabei garantiert der miniCASTER-Receiver eine niedrige Latenzzeit (nur 1280 ms) ber den Ka-Band Satelliten sowie kosteneffiziente Relay-Funktionen. Letztere sorgen daf r, dass ein Signal an viele verschiedene Stationen gleichzeitig versendet werden kann (Sternverteilung).
Zur miniCASTER-Produktfamilie geh ren zudem die miniCASTER Fly-Away Unit, ein Satellitensystem, das in jeden Kofferraum passt und in nur sieben Minuten aufgebaut ist - sowie die NewsSpotter Car Unit, die halbautomatisch ausgerichtet werden kann.
