ITV Studios Daytime has secured the commission for a one off documentary for ITV to mark This Morning's landmark 30th anniversary this October.

Narrated by Joanna Lumley OBE and featuring Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, Eamonn Holmes OBE and Ruth Langsford, Fern Britton, Hugh Jackman, Robbie Williams, Simon Cowell, Kate Winslet, David Gandy, Amanda Holden, Bradley Walsh plus a host of other stars, this 1 x 90 minute special TV event for peak promises to explore the legacy of one of the country's longest running and most famous shows.

This laugh a minute piece will showcase the best, the worst and the damn right ridiculous, from the first ever live testicle examination to cheeky Gino D'Acampo keeping his promise to cook naked, if the show won an NTA.

Demonstrating how the show has played an influential role in changing the TV landscape, from giving stars such as Charlotte Church, David Gandy and Simon Cowell their showbiz breaks, to its trail blazing firsts, such as trialling Viagra live on national TV, to hosting TV's first gay wedding, this documentary will dig deep into three decades of This Morning history, unearthing surprising moments and never heard before secrets along the way.

The pioneering spirit of This Morning will be examined, throwing the spotlight on notable landmark moments from the very first transmission in Liverpools Albert Dock on 3 October 1988 to the present day.

Giggles and gaffes are naturally expected as we plunge into the archive, unearthing jaw dropping moments unseen for decades as This Morning - 30 Unforgettable Years tells the story of a show which has become a national institution.
