Position: Project Manager South African Film and Television Awards

Reporting to: Head: Marketing and Communications

Duration: 12 months fixed contract

Job Purpose:

To manage planned events and activations for the NFVF in the development and promotion of the film and video industry.

Qualifications:

Relevant tertiary qualification in film & television, preferably a Bachelor's Degree

Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in film & television industry

Requirements:

Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the following:

Manage the live to air broadcast of the South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs)

Manage the relationship with service providers and monitor adherence to terms and conditions

Manage the process of organizing, categorizing and verification of entries

Manage effective communication with entrants

Manage the process of a sound filing system for all entries

Manage the entire process of preparing for audits

Manage proper coordination and sorting of duplication of entries

Oversee the process of packing entries for judging purposes

Oversee the process of coordinating and receiving contracts from judges

Manage the process of obtaining quotes for judging briefing sessions

Oversee the process of receiving judges packs and ensure they are filed correctly

Manage the process of coordinating the database

Manage the nominated productions for the purpose of the nominee and winners package

Manage all other events associated with South African Film and Television Awards winners

Attributes:

Excellent computer skills

Willingness to travel
