Recently, David Brooks, the conservative pundit, caused quite a stir with his satirical column on The Thought Leader. It follows the arc of the life of such a person measured in years of bullet points. I read this article as a cautionary tale: what we present to you must be pragmatic and meaningful and in more formats than PowerPoint presentations! To that end, we will provide you content in a variety of formats: videos, webinars, white papers, blogs, info graphics, presentations at local association meetings, and through our Thought Leadership internet site, which will also contain daily insights and news items pulled from relevant information management and governance sources. In 2014, with input from our internal and external sources, and validation from you, we will concentrate on three main themes: information governance, electronic records management, and compliance and audit. We have an exciting calendar planned - here is a sneak preview for the first half of the year:

The Cohasset/ARMA/AIIM Information Governance Benchmarking Survey report which has been expanded to include Iron Mountain customers - around the globe. We will contribute to its analysis and findings in order to provide you with a way to gage yourself against your peers and to make recommendations for change. We'll also be creating separate reports for the financial services, insurance, government, and energy sectors.

An Information Governance Handbook for use in forming a Governance Council, messaging what Information Governance is, and providing principles and best practices.

A Defensible Destruction paper which will provide you with input from judges and other experts so you can determine when or if you can destroy paper after you have imaging.

The Price WaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Risk Information Risk Maturity Index Report written in conjunction with Iron Mountain is drawn from sources in the United States and other international locations. It will provide you with up-to-date information about risk and how records and information management players, including IT, are responding.
