D ith S whips up an extra special welcome for the 2015 Roses

The official countdown to the 2015 Rose of Tralee International Festival began today when D ith S welcomed the 32 International Roses to RT for the Rose of Tralee launch photo-call.

D ith organised an extra special treat of whipped ice-cream cones as the Roses took time out from their whistle-stop tour of the country to celebrate the RT launch.

The 56th International Rose of Tralee Selection will be broadcast live from the Festival Dome from 8pm on Monday 17 and Tuesday 18 August on RT One, on RT Player and RT Player International, with a break for the Nine O' Clock News. D ith , who returns to our screens for the sixth year running, will interview the 32 hopefuls over the two nights.

Once again Rose of Tralee fans from around the globe will be able to watch the event live and on-demand on RT Player International.

In addition, a myriad of classic Rose of Tralee moments and highlights through the decades will be available online on RT .ie and RT Player.

Also this year, legendary Irish country singer Daniel O'Donnell will perform the iconic song The Rose of Tralee' as the 2015 Rose is being crowned.

The Rose of Tralee International Festival is celebrating its 56th birthday this year. The 32 Roses will represent centres in Ireland, Britain, United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, mainland Europe and the Middle East.
