WO Automation for Radio Continues to Gain Momentum Worldwide San Francisco, DATE, 2014-WideOrbit Inc., the leading provider of advertising management software for media companies, is pleased to announce that more than 1,000 radio stations are operating on its industry-leading radio automation solution, WO Automation for Radio.
In August 2009, WideOrbit acquired the assets of Google's radio automation business in an effort to enhance its product offering for radio broadcasters. WideOrbit rebuilt the Google radio automation solution as WO Automation for Radio and by April 2012, WideOrbit's radio automation team were installing the system at a rate of more than 100 stations per year with more than 500 live stations. WideOrbit has continued to invest heavily in its radio automation product and team, and has grown WO Automation for Radio into the most modern, powerful, reliable and feature-rich radio automation system in the industry. Significant to the success and rapid adoption of WO Automation for Radio is its tight integration with WO Traffic, the company's leading sales, traffic and billing solution.
We are proud of the work of our entire team, said Mark Moeder, General Manager of Radio for WideOrbit. Our sales, support, installation and engineering teams have all worked together to build the best radio automation solution in broadcasting and achieve this incredible milestone.
Rogers Media, a division of Rogers Communications (TSX:RCI; NYSE:RCI), is a diversified leading Canadian media company that engages in television and radio broadcasting, publishing, digital and sports entertainment. With 53 AM and FM radio stations across Canada, Rogers Media has been a WO Traffic client since 2009 and has used WO Automation for Radio since November 2012. Its 680News station in Toronto was the 1,000th radio station to go live on WO Automation for Radio.
Rogers has two of Canada's highest-billing radio stations in Canada with 680News and 98.1 CHFI, and we trust WO Automation for Radio with our operation and revenue, said Frank Bruno, Vice President of Broadcast Engineering at Rogers Media.
The current release, WO Automation for Radio v3.7, delivers unrivaled ease of use and operational efficiencies to radio broadcasters and features:
Centralized content creation with automatic failover redundancy and backup of automation content and system settings
Centralized playlist creation and editing with instant log changes across stations and markets, which eliminates the need for reloading
Multi-market voice tracking with multi-station and multicasting capabilities
Seamless integration with WO Traffic which delivers real-time playlist editing, streamlined dubbing of commercials and real-time reconciliation and notifications
Advanced interfaces to EAS equipment, audio consoles, routers and content schedules
Seamless integration with MusicMaster which delivers intelligent song replacement, real-time reconciliation, advanced music searching and automatic song card synchronization

With its open architecture, feature-rich solution set and exclusive integration with WO Traffic, WO Automation for Radio provides the most value and power of any radio automation system available, said Eric R. Mathewson, Founder and CEO of WideOrbit. We thank Rogers Media and every other member of the WO Automation for Radio family for the trust that they place in our products every day.
