TV Graphics Launches Graphics All-in-One Clock-and-Score Laptop System

TV Graphics, a broadcast graphics and data integration provider, has launched a new graphics generator and clock & score in one easy to use laptop unit - the Graphics All-in-One. The unit targeted at networks and packagers who are looking to streamline their production efforts, and already has a sizable presence in the emerging online production model with users including FoxSportsGo, FoxSports PrepZone, Big East Digital Network, the PAC-12 Network and MLB.com.

We created the all-in-one solution as an alternative for broadcasters who need full graphics support, but may not want to pay for multiple graphics operators, says VP of Operations Joseph Jopplin. We find this solution is increasingly popular for online broadcasts, as well as with packagers and networks looking to get the most out of their budget.

This Fall alone, the Graphics All-in-One appeared on more than 125 Fox PrepZone broadcasts, and the Big East Digital Network will air more than 250 events this school year.

In addition to the clock and score, lower third and title card functions that a traditional scorebug offers, the Graphics All-in-One also offers traditional 2nd CG options full screens, player lower thirds, slabs, sponsor animations, bumps, custom images, interstitials and more essentially a full production show out of one machine. All of this is produced out of a laptop system with a small output module, providing portability to allow graphics operators or producers to create shows at their leisure, as opposed to being tied to the production facility.

According TV Graphics, what clients like most about the system is that it allows them full broadcast quality shows with graphics that look exactly like they were produced from multiple character generators at a fraction of the cost and effort needed on a full production.

The all-in-one system allows us to produce our MLB.tv exclusive games with a full network graphics package from a easy to use single laptop system, says Dan Gentile, director for MLB Network and MLB.com productions.

The all in system for TV Graphics has allowed us to have one operator generate high quality graphics and run the clock and score from the same system, says Stanford University's Kheri Jones, who used the All-in-One to stream live productions for the PAC-12 Network and the school's Website. The system allows us to produce steaming productions that look just as good as network production on a budget that is affordable. The best thing about the system is it is very easy to use so our college students can work on the productions.
