Magewells USB Fusion Video Capture and Switching Device Wins AV Technology Best of Show Award at InfoComm 2022

Magewells new USB Fusion multi-input video capture and mixing device has been honored with a coveted Best of Show Award from Future plcs AV Technology at InfoComm 2022. The new hardware and accompanying app let users easily combine camera and wired screenshare sources into attractive live presentations for online lectures, webinars, live streaming, video conferencing, and other applications.

Featuring two HDMI inputs and one USB webcam input, USB Fusion lets users switch between 1080p60 HD sources or combine two inputs (picture-in-picture or side-by-side) into one output and bring the result into popular software via its USB 3.0 interface. The device is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems and offers easy, driver-free setup.

AV Technologys Best of Show winners were selected by a panel of nine anonymous AV/IT professionals who are experts in the technologies specific to the categories they were assigned to evaluate. Judges included CTS-certified technology managers, integrators, and consultants, who evaluated products from in-person exhibitors during the first two days of the InfoComm show. Products and solutions were evaluated for innovation, feature set, ease of installation/use, and potential overall value to the installation or institution.

USB Fusion provides three ways for users to compose and control their presentations. On-device buttons allow users to switch between full-screen sources or select a combined scene layout, while a browser-based web interface offers presentation management, scene switching, status monitoring, and device configuration. The full presentation power of USB Fusion is unlocked through the third control option, the free USB Fusion companion app for iOS and Android tablets. The intuitive app provides expanded layout controls and lets users add pictures, video clips, background music, and handwritten notes into their presentations. Users can also record or take screenshots of the combined output.
