Februar 2019 - Turner EMEA tr gt der steigenden Bedeutung von Eigenproduktionen im Bereich General Entertainment Rechnung und ernennt Anke Greifeneder zum Vice President Original Productions EMEA. Greifeneder verantwortete bisher als Director Original Productions Turner Central and Eastern Europe Erfolgsproduktionen wie 4 Blocks oder Arthurs Gesetz. Sie berichtet weiterhin an Giorgio Stock, President von Turner EMEA, und erg nzt in ihrer neuen Rolle dessen F hrungsteam f r die Region Europa, Naher Osten und Afrika.
Fesselnder, selbstproduzierter Content hilft uns dabei, die Beziehung zu unseren Fans zu vertiefen, neue Fans hinzu zu gewinnen, das Profil unserer erfolgreichen Sendermarken zu st rken und neue Einnahmequellen zu erschlie en, so Stock. In einer Zeit, in der die Produktion eigenen Contents ein bedeutender Pfeiler unserer Gesch ftsstrategie ist, wird uns Ankes Expertise - gro artige Skripte zu finden und ihnen den perfekten Schliff zu verleihen, die besten Talente der Branche f r sich zu gewinnen sowie ihr gutes Gesp r f r Drama- und Comedy-Inhalte - helfen, unseren hohen Anspr chen gerecht zu werden.
Als VP Original Productions wird Greifeneder die Entwicklung, Kreation und Produktion von eigenen Inhalten im Bereich General Entertainment innerhalb von EMEA vorantreiben. Ihre neue Rolle ist Teil einer Content Development Strategie, die sich zun chst auf den deutschsprachigen Markt, Spanien und Frankreich konzentriert. In diesem Rahmen wird Greifeneder die Teams in Spanien und Frankreich in der Entwicklung eigener Formate unterst tzen. In Spanien konnte Turner mit der Politik-Comedy Vota Juan, die bei ihrer Premiere auf TNT zu Beginn dieses Jahres Rekordquoten erzielte, bereits erste Erfolge feiern.
Wie bisher wird Greifeneder auch weiterhin den Bereich Original Productions in Deutschland verantworten. Deutschsprachige Turner-Produktionen wie 4 Blocks oder Arthurs Gesetz wurden vielfach ausgezeichnet und k nnen internationale Verkaufserfolge f r sich beanspruchen. So wurden zuletzt die Ausstrahlungs- und Formatrechte von Arthurs Gesetz an den US Comedy-Sender TBS verkauft.
Zus tzlich wird Anke Greifeneder an der weitergehenden Zusammenarbeit mit Turners Schwester-Unternehmen aus dem Hause WarnerMedia arbeiten, um an die Erfolgsserie Hackerville, die TNT Serie in Kooperation mit HBO Europe produzierte und die j ngst mit dem Grimme Preis ausgezeichnet wurde, anzukn pfen.
Mit Add a Friend produzierte Turner Deutschland als erster Pay-TV Sender im deutschsprachigen Raum bereits im Jahr 2011 seine erste fiktionale Eigenproduktion. Seither befinden sich j hrlich ein bis zwei Serien in Produktion. Das Jahr 2018 stellte jedoch den bisherigen H hepunkt dar: Innerhalb der EMEA-Region wurden f nf Serien produziert. F r 2019 hat Turner EMEA bereits drei neue Staffeln in Auftrag gegeben, f nf weitere Serien befinden sich derzeit in Entwicklung.
Zus tzlich zur wachsenden Anzahl lokal produzierter Inhalte bietet Turner seinen Zuschauern im Entertainment-Bereich Serien, die in Zusammenarbeit mit Turner USA produziert werden, wie das TNT Drama I am the Night mit Chris Pine und unter der Regie von Patty Jenkins (Wonder Woman) oder das TBS Original Miracle Workers mit Daniel Radcliffe und Steve Buscemi.

Anke Greifeneder startete 2007 als Programmchefin der Unterhaltungssparte bei Turner im deutschsprachigen Raum, seit 2013 verantwortet sie die Eigenproduktionen von Turner in Zentral- und Osteuropa. Im Bereich Fiction produzierte sie zun chst die Dramedy Add a Friend und das Mystery-Drama Weinberg (beide TNT Serie), f r die sie jeweils mit einem Grimme-Preis pr miert wurde, sowie das vielfach preisgekr nte Gangster-Drama 4 Blocks (TNT Serie). 2018 folgte mit der Comedy Noir Arthurs Gesetz die erste fiktionale Produktion f r TNT Comedy sowie mit Hackerville die erste Koproduktion von TNT Serie mit HBO Europe. Die Mockumentary Andere Eltern wurde 2018 gedreht und wird Mitte M rz auf TNT Comedy Premiere feiern.
Vor ihrer Zeit bei Turner war Anke Greifeneder f r MTV, Viva und Comedy Central t tig. Au erdem ist sie als Autorin erfolgreich und ver ffentlichte seit 2002 sechs Romane, darunter der 2011 verfilmte Flaschendrehen sowie zwei Kinder- und Jugendb cher.
Der Hollywood Reporter listete Greifeneder k rzlich als eine der Top 25 Women in Global Television des Jahres 2018.
