Grass Valley Connects with Customers at SET Expo to Highlight Future-Ready Solutions
MONTREAL, August 18, 2015 Grass Valley, a Belden Brand, will showcase a variety of powerful solutions for broadcasters, content owners and service providers in booth 104 at SET Expo, August 23-27, EXPO Center Norte, Pavil o Vermelho in S o Paulo, Brazil. This is the first time that professionals from the Latin American market will be able to see demonstrations of some of the products that debuted at NAB earlier in the year. Grass Valley will also show its roadmap to IP for a variety of products in the lineup.
This is an important event that provides us the opportunity to connect face-to-face with our customers in the region and learn more about their needs and goals for their businesses, said Leonel da Luz, vice president of sales, Latin America, Grass Valley. In addition to displaying all of our latest products and technologies, we'll have our experts on hand to offer advice and help visitors understand how to prepare for and navigate the rapidly changing landscape of broadcast. From 4K to IP, there's a lot going on right now and SET Expo will be the place to see it all.
Some of the products being highlighted at the event include:
LDX 86 Universe camera - a 4K/6X HD switchable camera setting new standards in 4K acquisition and offering format flexibility with the same high sensitivity and dynamic range performance in all formats at the same frame rate. The LDX 86 Universe can be used in any camera position where a 1X, 3X or 6X camera is required. This includes the ability to switch the camera from 4K 1X operation to HD 6X extreme-speed operation providing unprecedented coverage of multiple camera applications all from a single camera. Combining the LDX 86 Universe with the K2 Dyno Universe Replay System brings 4K and extreme-speed storytelling into the mainstream.
Focus 70 Live camera - a new entry level into the Grass Valley camera line, with high-quality image performance for less demanding applications. Consisting of two different single HD format camera heads, with 1080i50/59.94 and 720p50/59.94 support, the camera offers a feature set optimized for many of the typical live studio and field applications, in combination with an easy-to-operate control solution. Standard B4 2/3-inch lens mounts can be used to accommodate HD lenses already purchased and on-hand.
K2 Dyno Universe Replay System - makes the power of 4K or 6X acquisition affordable for all camera angles and replay positions. With this solution, 6X HD and 4K workflows for all camera and replay positions are possible, using the same number of replay operators and same amount of rack space. The K2 Dyno Universe supports HD up to 6X and 4K operation, and offers two sizes, 4RU and 6RU, both fully 6X HD/4K switchable.
GV Convergent SDN - allows operators to control the routing of IP signals using the same control surface they've been using for years to control SDI, providing transparent control in hybrid IP/SDI workflows. Part of Grass Valley's Glass-to-Glass IP solution, GV Convergent SDN leverages proven IT technologies, such as COTS routing switches and SDN control, to maximize flexibility. It is simple to use, operationally efficient and supports a wide range of hardware and software control panels with seamless control of IP within a baseband infrastructure.
Other solutions in the booth include the Karrera K-Frame switcher with native 4K/HDTV support, GV Director switcher, GV STRATUS production tools, NVISION routers, iControl monitoring system, Densit frames, EDIUS editing software, and a wide variety of Belden cables.
