Drama bersiri Marry Me Senorita' merupakan sebuah lagi naskah adaptasi novel dengan judul yang sama nukilan Suri Ryana yang mengangkat genre romantik terbitan syarikat produksi Juita Viden Sdn. Bhd. Drama 28 episod arahan sutradara Nur Ain Sharif ini turut menampilkan pengarah prolifik, Michael Ang selaku Penerbit serta barisan penulis skrip yang terdiri daripada Rehal Nurharis dan Dayang Kartinah.
Marry Me Senorita' bakal bersiaran pada setiap hari Isnin hingga Khamis, jam 10.00 malam mulai 2 Februari 2021 menerusi slot Megadrama secara eksklusif di saluran Astro Ria HD (104) dan Astro Ria (124) serta turut boleh distrim menerusi aplikasi Astro GO dan platform On Demand untuk pilihan yang lebih fleksibel.
Emarina Kamal, Pengurus Saluran Astro Ria berkata, Bagi mengukuhkan kedudukan Astro sebagai destinasi utama penggemar drama-drama Melayu, kami amat berhati-hati dalam segi pemilihan naskah kerana para penonton alaf baharu masa kini bijak menilai serta turut dihidangkan dengan variasi pilihan yang fleksibel. Setiap kandungan haruslah seimbang daripada segi kualiti produksi, populariti, jalan penceritaan, keberkesanan mutu lakonan dan sebagainya. Terbaru, kami bawakan sebuah lagi drama bersiri yang diadaptasi daripada novel Marry Me Senorita khusus buat tontonan semua. Pemilihan novel ini untuk diangkat ke dalam bentuk drama adalah berasaskan jalan ceritanya yang tersendiri dan kejayaan novel tersebut yang mendapat sambutan hangat dan laris terjual sewaktu ia diterbitkan. Kami percaya ia mampu menarik perhatian penonton terutamanya daripada kalangan pembaca novel yang pastinya ingin menyaksikan visual karya tersebut apabila diterjemahkan dalam bentuk drama bersiri. Kredibiliti Janna Nick selaku pelakon tidak perlu disangkal lagi. Manakala Dini Scatzmann juga mempunyai bakat dan potensi besar untuk menempa nama dalam bidang lakonan. Keserasian pasangan ini yang kini sedang dalam fasa bahagia sebagai kekasih di alam nyata seperti yang dapat kita saksikan secara terbuka terutamanya di platform sosial media juga merupakan antara faktor utama pemilihan mereka selaku teraju utama. Malah, drama ini turut dijayakan oleh barisan pelakon hebat tanah air.
Janna Nick, Watak utama sebagai Sofiy Leia' berkata, Para penggemar drama Melayu perlu tonton #MarryMeSenorita kerana ini merupakan antara drama yang amat susah untuk saya lakonkan kerana hero utama merupakan pasangan saya sendiri di luar set. Karakter dan personaliti dalam drama ini sangat berbeza dan memang berlawanan dengan karakter sebenar kami lalu mewujudkan perasaan kekok di antara kami. Tidak dinafikan kami memang mempunyai chemistry' kami di luar set lakonan tetapi bila harus dibawa ke dalam drama, ia sangat sukar untuk diterjemahkan. Dalam masa yang sama, saya juga perlu sentiasa alert' dengan dialog yang dilontarkan oleh Dini sebab kita sedia maklum bahawa Bahasa Melayu Dini masih lagi dalam proses pembelajaran. Di samping perlu berjaga-jaga dengan dialognya, saya juga kena menjaga karakter saya. Ini merupakan cabaran besar untuk saya dan saya akui #MarryMeSenorita bukan drama yang mudah untuk saya lakonkan.
Dini Schatzmann, Watak utama sebagai Isa Alejandro' berkata, Saya berasa bertuah kerana dapat bekerjasama dengan barisan pelakon yang cukup hebat menerusi drama #MarryMeSenorita antaranya seperti Dato' Jalaluddin Hassan, Datin Fadilah Mansor, Yasmin Hani, Janna Nick, Shaza Bae, Meerquen, Daler Yousuf dan ramai lagi. Jalan penceritaan drama ini cukup menarik kerana ia mempunyai banyak konflik dalaman yang ditonjolkan. Pengalaman menjayakan drama ini cukup bermakna dan saya akui cabaran yang diberi amat sukar terutamanya untuk membina chemistry' di antara saya dan Janna Nick menerusi lakonan. Ini kerana karakter Isa dan Sofiy tidak sama dengan karakter saya dan Janna dalam dunia nyata. Jadi apabila Isa kena berlagak' dengan Sofiy, keserasian itu memang susah untuk didapatkan pada mulanya.
TRIVIA DRAMA MARRY ME SENORITA'
Drama Marry Me Senorita' diterajui oleh pasangan pelakon popular, Janna Nick dan pelakon baru berdarah kacukan Melayu-Switzerland, Dini Schatzmann yang memegang watak sebagai Sofiy Leia' dan Isa Alejandro'. Ini merupakan kali pertama pasangan kekasih yang sedang dalam fasa bahagia digandingkan bersama bagi menjayakan drama bersiri untuk siaran di Astro.
Meskipun masih baru, Dini Schatzmann diberi kepercayaan untuk memegang watak utama buat pertama kali bagi drama di slot Megadrama. Selain itu, drama Marry Me Senorita' juga turut menyaksikan Dini menyahut cabaran melakonkan watak berat dan penuh emosi berbanding watak-watak lain yang pernah dibawakan olehnya sebelum ini.
Dini turut mendapat tunjuk ajar daripada Janna Nick yang tidak lokek untuk berkongsi ilmu terutamanya berkenaan teknik lakonan serta turut menjadi guru bahasa kepada Dini.
Dini juga turut mengambil kelas untuk menguasai sukan tenis bagi menjayakan watak dalam drama ini.
Drama Marry Me Senorita' juga turut menjadi batu loncatan kepada bintang-bintang baru yang berbakat besar untuk mencipta nama dalam bidang lakonan sekaligus menempatkan diri sebaris pelakon sedia ada. Antaranya pelakon baru yang turut diketengahkan termasuklah Nabil Aqil, Asha Merican, Meerqeen, Siti Khadijah Halim serta ramai lagi.
Lagu Surat Akhir' nyanyian Amira Othman turut diangkat sebagai lagu runut bunyi untuk drama Marry Me Senorita'.
Antara cabaran terbesar yang terpaksa dihadapi sepanjang penggambaran drama ini adalah apabila lokasi utama penggambaran di sekitar Lembah Klang diumumkan berada di bawah perlaksanaan Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP) serta turut dikategorikan sebagai zon merah.
