It's time to say goodbye to Lidia Po t.

The series, inspired by the true story of Italys first female lawyer, recently wrapped its third and final season. The case may be closed on The Law According to Lidia Po t, but were looking back at the footprint production left across the country it called home.

A Production Rooted in Italy

From its very first episode, The Law According to Lidia Po t was built by Italian hands.

Across all three seasons, the production hired over 600 cast and crew, with an additional 2,700 extras and daily hires contributing to the series authentic period atmosphere. Filming spanned 110 locations, primarily in the Turin and Piedmont region, 18 of which had never been used for a television production before.

Over 48 weeks, the production generated significant activity, from artisans crafting 90 period costumes (30 per season) and 100 bespoke jewelry pieces, to the hotels, vendors, and service providers that supported a crew of this scale across three seasons and 18 episodes.

Across all three seasons, the historic Turin prison Le Nuove - a penitentiary in operation from 1870 until the early 2000s, inaugurated under the reign of Victor Emmanuel II - served as the setting for Lidia and Enricos interrogations. In the first two seasons, filming took place at the Le Nuove Museum. For the final season, production relocated to Rome, where the cells were faithfully reconstructed inside the Forte Bravetta complex.

A Global Audience, an Italian Story

The series resonated far beyond Italys borders. Since its debut, The Law According to Lidia Po t has appeared in the Netflix Top 10 TV list in over 50 countries, reaching #1 in Italy, Hungary, Poland, Romania, and Ukraine. It featured in the Global Non-English Top 10 TV list for 6 weeks and in the Italian Top 10 TV list for 8 weeks. The first two seasons alone generated over 40M views globally.

A Cultural Spark

The shows impact extended well beyond the screen. Following the first season, local travel agencies launched dedicated tours inspired by Lidia Po t, bringing visitors to the real-life locations connected to Italys first female lawyer.

The series also found an unexpected champion on the ice: figure skating athlete Lara Naki Gutmann chose the shows soundtrack as the music for her short program at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, going on to win a team bronze medal - carrying a piece of Lidias spirit onto the world stage.
