Riedel Communications Appoints Ulrich Voigt as Director Live Production SolutionsRiedel Communications is pleased to announce that Ulrich Voigt has joined the company as Director Live Production Solutions, taking over the SimplyLive business leadership role from Luc Doneux with effect from mid-October 2025. Voigt, a broadcast industry expert with 28 years of experience with software-based live production, will focus on further integrating the SimplyLive product family into Riedel's overall live video solutions strategy and driving additional growth across the business.

Ulrich brings extensive experience in live production and cloud business transformation, having led large, multidisciplinary teams and guided product strategy, design, and deployment of innovative broadcast and cloud-based solutions, said Jan Eveleens, CEO Product Division, Riedel Communications. His background, leadership, and strategic vision make him the ideal person to continue SimplyLive's development and growth and strengthen its role in the Riedel live video portfolio.

Voigt previously served as Global Head of Product Management and Cloud Transformation at Vizrt, where he was responsible for the strategic direction of software-based broadcast graphics, automation, and live production solutions. As member of the executive management team, he played a key role in the companys transformation towards integrated and cloud-based solutions and modern business models. Prior to Vizrt, Voigt was Head of Design at Qvest Media, leading the technological alignment of multi-system solutions for global consulting and systems integration projects. Earlier, he worked as a Senior Lead IT Architect for the Media and Entertainment sector at IBM Global Business Services.

He holds a Diploma in Engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) in Communications Engineering from Darmstadt University of Technology. Based in the Frankfurt area, he will report directly to Jan Eveleens.

After guiding SimplyLive through its successful integration into Riedel, Doneux will hand over the reins to Voigt and pursue new opportunities from Jan. 1, 2026. He will remain involved with Riedel in a consulting capacity, ensuring a smooth transition and providing guidance on projects of strategic importance to the Riedel Group.
