Despite the global economic downturn, HMS reported a 17% organic growth with a strong financial position in a weakening market.

During 2008, HMS continued its strong growth with increasing demands on production capabilities and development resources. Net sales increased with 17.5 % and to 33 million (SEK 317 million).

The positive financial growth gives HMS a strong base allowing necessary long term actions despite the weak market situation. The total number of customers using our embedded Anybus communication modules increased to 731. More and more customers acknowledge the advantages of the proven Anybus technology and are taking advantage of the readymade connectivity solutions.

Based on our NP30 communication processor, we can now offer competitively priced communication solutions even in very high volumes of more than 50,000 units per year. As the automation market will today and in future use a wide range of different industrial networks, the interchangeable Anybus solutions provide our customers with almost limitless connectivity and help them to be successful on the global automation markets says Nicolas Hassbjer, President and CEO of HMS.
