As Upfronts descend upon New York City this week, Fox Corporation kicked things off with a flair, announcing that it will launch its own wholly-owned direct-to-consumer streaming service.

Called FOX One, the service will package all of FOX's sports, news, and entertainment content into a singular streaming platform. It's expected to launch near the end of the summer with the official announcement stating it would be available ahead of the NFL and College Football seasons.

We know that FOX has the most loyal and engaged audiences in the industry, and FOX One is designed to reach outside of the pay-TV bundle and deliver all the best FOX branded content directly to viewers wherever they are, Pete Distad, CEO, FOX One said in the official announcement of the service's name on Monday morning. We have built this platform from the ground up to allow consumers to enjoy and engage with our programming in new and exciting ways, leveraging cutting edge technology to enhance the user experience across the platform.

Without the need for a cable subscription, customers of FOX One will be able to watch live streamed and on-demand shows and events from sports channels like FS1, FS2, BTN, and FOX Deportes. It also includes FOX News, FOX Business, FOX Weather, FOX Local Stations and the FOX network. Customers will also have the ability to bundle this with the existing FOX Nation within the one platform.
