April 25th, 2023 PlayBox Neo raises the bar in high-efficiency broadcast channel management at CABSAT 2023 with the latest additions to its wide range of products and services. A fully-featured system including new software-based routing capabilities with an expanded choice of optional modules will be demonstrated on the company's stand, S1-I30. PlayBox Neo staff attending will include Pavlin Rahnev (founder and CEO), Detelin Georgiev (Area Sales Manager) and Plamen Chardakliev (Broadcast Engineer).
EAME region broadcasters, like their colleagues throughout the world, demand reliability, easy and flexibility operation plus future-proof expandability as essential features of their television channel management systems, comments Pavlin Rahnev, PlayBox Neo CEO. Modularity has been a key element in our product development strategy for 23 years. PlayBox Neo systems can be configured to match any kind of TV media application from a single terrestrial, satellite or internet-streamed channel up to fully international networks transmitting in multiple languages. Workflow can be fully automated to support round-the-clock programs while retaining the ability to transmit live content whenever necessary. Scheduling, whether region specific or global, is a breeze. Many broadcasters favor an owner-driver hardware approach centered on our PlayBox Neo server with their choice of software features. Others prefer a service-based solution such as our Cloud2TV. A third option is the hybrid approach with any desired level of mix-and-match. We support them all.
CABSAT will host the EAME market launch of TS Time Delay which gives broadcast channel managers efficient control over program playout to multiple time zones. TS Time Delay can be operated in hands-off mode or switched at any time to alternative offsets, including a zero delay output for each input. Features include built-in decoders and encoders plus the ability to transcode output stream parameters such as data format, video resolution and frame rate. Channel-specific playout can be delayed from 1 second to several months. Multiple channels may be controlled within a single AirBox Neo-20 server.
Media Gateway allows the entire process of playout routing and decoding to be handled in software, eliminating the capital cost of hardware routers, codecs and related devices. Media Gateway can be installed onsite or in the cloud. Integral software codecs allow signals to be converted between SDI, NDI, SRT, UDP and RTP. Video and audio content can be sourced directly from a desktop screen and delivered as live feeds. A built-in multiviewer includes automated black-frame and frozen-frame alarms.
Based on AirBox Neo-20 playout automation, PlayBox Neo's Channel-in-a-Box is a complete system providing all the facilities needed to create and maintain single or multiple television channels within a seamless workflow for local or remote control. It is configurable to any required scale from optional elements such as Capture Suite media ingest, TitleBox Neo-20 interactive character generation and graphics, and ListBox Neo-20 scheduling. Terrestrial, satellite, cable and IP-streamed transmission are all fully supported.
