Malhao Sonhos running for Emmy KIDS for the second time

Malha o Sonhos' is running for the Emmy KIDS award for the second time in a row. This time around, the teen drama was nominated in the 2016 edition in the Digital category for its Fan Fic actions. The cross-platform action incorporates stories created by viewers based on existing characters and plots. Cross-platform action is the movement of fans of comic books, movies, sitcoms or telenovelas that use original plots to recreate scenes or come up with new situations beyond those written by the author. I was very happy with this nomination, especially with its category. We had the opportunity to interact with the audience and develop second-screen actions... I think that made the end result much richer, said Rosane Svartman, co-author of the drama, along with Paulo Halm.

The director, Jos Alvarenga Jr., also emphasized the joy of being nominated: It is a huge pleasure for us, because Malha o Sonhos is always being recognized as a successful and competent series. This series was very popular on social networks. That was well noticed by Rosane and Paulo .

The first Fan Fic was called Bianca (Bruna Ham ) e Seus Dois Maridos . The two husbands mentioned in the title are the romantic affairs of a girl in the series: Duca (Arthur Aguiar) and Jo o (Guilherme Hamacek). In the fan-fiction dream, Bianca wakes up and gets scared when she finds both men in her house. In turn, the second Fan Fic theme was horror stories . It was the story of a scary dream of Pedro (Rafael Vitti) involving his beloved Karina (Isabella Santoni) and, much to his despair, master Gael (Eriberto Le o), and it was called Pedro e os vampiros da Ribalta . In the plot, Pedro suspects Karina is pregnant and gets really neurotic about it; he falls asleep and imagines the reaction of Gael, the girl s father, after he found out. The guitar player is in a dark place and Gael calls out to him: When approaching his father-in-law, he realizes that he's actually a vampire.

The season written by Rosane Svartman and Paulo Halm, with core direction by Jos Alvarenga Jr., general direction by Luiz Henrique Rios, and directed by Marcus Figueiredo and Cristiano Marques was nominated for the Emmy Kids in 2015, under the best series' category. Malha o Sonhos' followed the pursuit of young men and women for their dreams, based on the story of an old factory that housed the Ribalta School of Arts and the Wrestling Gym. Talented names such as Isabella Santoni, Rafael Vitti, Bruna Hamu and Felipe Simas were revealed in the cast.

The series is competing for the award alongside international productions from Australia, Japan and Canada. The ceremony will be on April 4, 2017, in Cannes, France.
