PAMA and Shure Accept Applications for 6th Annual Mark Brunner Professional Audio Scholarship

The Professional Audio Manufacturers Alliance (PAMA) and Shure Incorporated are accepting applications for the 6th annual Mark Brunner Professional Audio Scholarship, open to students worldwide pursuing education in professional audio. Scholarships of up to $2,000 per recipient are available to students enrolled in accredited audio programs. Applications are open as of April 1, with a submission deadline of May 31. The scholarship is named for Mark Brunner, a longtime Shure executive and PAMA founding member who passed away in 2020.

Last year we passed the five-year benchmark of this scholarship, and I consider the annual Mark Brunner scholarship an ongoing cornerstone of PAMA's mission, to assist these young audio professionals in their studies, says Yvonne Ho, President, PAMA. Mark was a strong and consistent supporter of audio education, and a friend and mentor to countless people working in audio today, and we are honored to carry on his legacy in this way.

This scholarship honors Mark's legacy by supporting aspiring audio professionals in their educational pursuits, says Chris Schyvinck, President and CEO, Shure. It commemorates Mark's impactful contributions, including reinforcing his dedication to nurturing future generations of audio industry leaders.

Past recipients include Dennis Freeman (Middle Tennessee State University), Emma Brooks (Berklee College of Music), Benjamin Nix-Bradley (CSU Northridge), Valor Swezey (University of New Haven), Narek Manoukian (Southern Utah University), Mei Hei (Berklee College of Music), Jeremiah Grier (Temple University), Tamanpreet Kaur (American University), Andrew Padfield (Western Michigan University), and Paula Sedlacek (Penn State University).
