Chelsio 10GB Unified Wire Adapters Earn NetApp s Ethernet Advantage Program Certification Chelsio 10GbE Adapters Achieve Interoperability with NetApp Unified Storage

SUNNYVALE, CA - March 6, 2012 - Chelsio Communications, a leading provider of 10Gb Ethernet Unified Wire Adapters, ASICs and Unified Storage solutions, today announced that its Unified Wire adapters have successfully completed the NetApp validated Ethernet Advantage program, with Chelsios Unified Wire adapters and NetApp FAS and V-Series Enterprise Storage Systems for iSCSI data traffic.

The NetApp Ethernet Advantage program is designed to create a trusted ecosystem to accelerate iSCSI deployment by offering customers fully tested configurations supported by best-in-class vendors. The program incorporates automated testing and best practices that are used to qualify iSCSI solutions. Configurations listed in the NetApp Interoperability Matrix Tool (IMT) enable customers and partners to verify end-to-end solutions and to design the most robust FCoE, Fibre Channel, and iSCSI solutions.

Five Chelsio adapters (S320E-CR, S320E-LP-CR, S302E, S320EM-BCH, S320EM-BS) have been certified by NetApp for both Windows and Linux operating systems. The certification also includes iSCSI SAN boot for Windows. The certified drivers are available from the Chelsio website: NetApp Download Center.

The certification of Chelsio Unified Wire adapters by NetApp is an important validation milestone; especially for our customers, who are looking to contain cost and complexity, while increasing performance of their storage networks, said Bob Dugan, director of engineering at Chelsio. Performance, flexibility and reduced cost of ownership are important criteria for todays storage networks, and the Chelsio Unified Wire Adapter is engineered to meet the requirements of the most demanding environments.
