The SVG Europe and SVG Americas teams are onsite in Amsterdam for IBC 2025. As the production and broadcast industry gathers to launch new products and reconnect, the SVG team is out in force in the exhibition halls of the RAI to gather and share the latest news with the SVG community. You'll find all the key announcements and news here with daily updates through Monday. Saturday will cover Halls 5,6 and 7, Sunday will cover Halls 8,9 and 10 and Monday will cover Halls 11,12, 13, and 14.
Today's issue includes exhibitors from Halls 1-4 and Outdoor Exhibits, including Appear, Astrodesign, Ateme, Backlight, BBright, Blackmagic Design, Bridge Technologies, Broadcast Solutions, Broadcasting Center Europe, Comcast Technology Solutions, Disguise, Eutelsat, Evertz, FOR-A, GlobalM, Haivision, Harmonic, Imagine Communications, InSync, MASV, MediaKind, Media Links, Net Insight, Open Broadcast Systems, Panasonic Connect, SES, Skyline Communications, Synamedia, TAG Video Systems, and Techex.
Hall 1 Appear (Stand 1.C61) will debut its VX Media Gateway software and X5 hardware at IBC2025. The X5 is a compact, cost-effective solution for smaller live productions, offering ultra-low latency and high-quality compression. The VX Media Gateway provides secure, scalable media processing on-prem or in the cloud, with features like advanced stream protection and SMPTE ST-2022 compatibility. New X Platform capabilities include a 100Gbps network card for high-bandwidth live production and the Appear Estate Manager (AEM) for deployment control.
Ateme (Stand 1.D55) will present efficient video delivery solutions at IBC2025, including advanced MV-HEVC and HEVC encoding for immersive live 180 and 360 experiences, demonstrated on Meta Quest and Apple Vision Pro. AI-driven speech-to-speech and text translation will also be featured to enhance fan engagement. Ateme (a SaaS-based Master Control Room) and a new fully IP-based OTT Primary Distribution solution for global reach and scalability will be showcased, complemented by Pilot Manager orchestration.
Backlight (Stand 1.D09) will debut new capabilities across Iconik, Wildmoka, and Zype at IBC2025. Iconik Review introduces real-time synchronized media collaboration, with intelligent facial recognition and DaVinci Resolve integration. Wildmoka gains an AI-powered Vertical Content Editor for mobile-optimized clips from live streams, plus Live Studio for customizing live events and 24/7 digital channels. Zype features new AI tools for automatic transcription and translation, and a redesigned web player with picture-in-picture mode.
Bridge Technologies (Stand 1.A71) will unveil a redesigned web-based interface at IBC2025, rolling it out across the VBC, VB330, VB220, VB120, and NOMAD probe range. The new UI emphasizes intuitive navigation, visual clarity, and faster access to essential monitoring data. Enhancements include dynamic tables, aggregated thumbnail views, a vertical navigation bar, dark/light mode, and streamlined ETR290 configuration. Building on Bridge's tradition of making the complex simple, the upgrade balances depth with usability, helping engineers and operators manage networks with greater efficiency and precision.
Broadcasting Center Europe (Stand 1.C16) will mark its 25th anniversary at IBC2025, showcasing innovations in system integration, media operations managed services, and its Media-as-a-Service (MaaS) platform. The MaaS platform, built on cloud and sovereign architecture and enhanced with AI, offers a unified solution for storing, managing, enriching, and distributing audiovisual content. BCE provides reliable, integrated digital solutions, from IP-based integration to TV studio and OB van deployment, with 24/7 monitoring.
Comcast Technology Solutions (Stand 1.BS25) has been selected by Dubai Media as the end-to-end technology provider for Dubai Media's next-generation video streaming platform. The deployment will power the streaming experience for Dubai Media's full suite of channels, including Dubai TV, Dubai Sports, and others, rolling out to consumers later this year. For decades, Dubai Media has played a central role in shaping the regional media landscape, driving innovation and setting benchmarks in Arabic-language broadcasting and entertainment. This new platform reflects Dubai Media's ongoing mission to reimagine media in the digital era, building on its legacy as a cultural, social, and bridge between Dubai and the wider Arab world. CTS' Cloud Video Platform, part of Comcast Media360, a 24/7 managed service, will support Dubai Media's transformative initiative to modernize Dubai's digital media ecosystem. The service will manage the entire content lifecycle for Dubai Media -from acquisition and transformation to OTT streaming delivery, monetization, and user experience -reinforcing Dubai Media's commitment to delivering world-class media experiences.
At IBC 2025, Eutelsat (Stand 1.A57) will highlight how satellite innovation is transforming the future of media distribution and contribution. This includes the company's Hybrid GEO LEO Ecosystem enabling new possibilities for live contribution, streaming and remote production; a live demo with Dejero; their work integrating live satellite transmission into the Native IP era; and their expansion in the FAST and OTT space.
Harmonic (Stand 1.B20) will showcase innovations in live sports streaming at IBC2025, enhancing fan engagement and monetization. Their VOS360 Media and Ad SaaS solution delivers geo-synced low-latency streams and interactive multiview experiences in partnership with Skreens and VisualOn.
