Talented actress Dawn Thandeka King, who plays Thandiwe in DiepCity and played the role of MaNgcobo in Uzalo has reportedly returned to the SABC1's soapie.

DAWN THANDEKA KING IN CANCELLED DIEPCITY' Mzansi Watch reports that the actress Dawn Thandeka King, who left Uzalo in 2021 as MaNgcobo to join Mzansi Magic's cancelled telenovela DiepCity as Thandiwe may return to Mzansi's most-watched soapie.

The publication adds that the legendary actress might begin making appearances in Uzalo in March 2023.

Fans of the SABC1 hoped the actress would return to her villainous character as her character never got killed when she left in 2021.

Viewers also predicted she'd come back to the role after Mzansi Magic and Black Brain Pictures announced DiepCity's cancellation.

UZALO': FAREWELL MANGCOBO The actress bid farewell to the cast and crew of Uzalo in an emotional video on her Instagram account on March 2021.

I will miss MaNgcobo and I will miss everyone who opened their hearts to me.

King described her exit as the end of an era' and thanked Stained Glass TV for the opportunity.

According to News24, Executive producer, Mmamitse Thibedi thanked Dawn and two other cast members that are leaving, for their great work, in a TshisaLive statement.

We are incredibly fortunate to have worked with such a remarkable host of actors, Thibedi said.

We thank Siyabonga Shibe, Dawn Thandeka King and Jet Novuka for the great work they produced as part of the Uzalo family. We wish them all the best in their future endeavours.
