Berlin, August 3, 2023 - This is the story of my mom and dad, and how they fell in love. It was late at night. And my mom was all alone out there. She was really scared. Because she was lost. But then along came my dad. He appeared all of a sudden and saved her. And they fell in love right there and then. And they moved into a house and had children and were a happy family (Hannah).
Today, Netflix releases the teaser trailer and key art for DEAR CHILD. The mini-series is based on Romy Hausmanns best-selling novel of the same title. Head Writer Isabel Kleefeld teamed up with Julian P rksen on the screenplay of this six-part psychological thriller, which they co-directed. DEAR CHILD was produced by Tom Spiess and Friederich Oetker.
Two-time Oscar-winning composer Gustavo Santaolalla from Argentina and Juan Luqui scored the series. Together, they composed the captivating, atmospheric soundtrack for DEAR CHILD, which also features in the teaser trailer.
The cast includes Kim Riedle, Naila Schuberth, Sammy Schrein, Hans L w, Haley Louise Jones, Justus von Dohn nyi, Julika Jenkins, Birge Schade, Christian Beermann, Seraphina Maria Schweiger, zg r Karadeniz, and Jeanne Goursaud.
The press kit, which includes exciting interviews with the series creators and extensive background information on the idea behind this psychological thriller, its production, and the challenges that arose during filming, is now available.

About DEAR CHILD
Lena lives in complete isolation with her two children, Hannah and Jonathan, in a hig-security house. They eat their meals, go to the bathroom, and go to bed at precisely prescribed times. As soon as he enters the room, they line up to show their hands. They do everything he says. Until the young woman manages to escape. After a near-fatal car accident, she is hospitalized, accompanied by Hannah.
DEAR CHILD starts where traditional thrillers end: with redemption. But the true extent of this nightmare is revealed when Lenas parents arrive at the hospital the same night. They have been desperately searching for their missing daughter for almost 13 years
DEAR CHILD is a six-part mini-series based on Romy Hausmanns novel of the same title.
