Berklee Announces Erroll Garner-Martha Glaser Endowed Scholarship The scholarship will be awarded in partnership with the Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice.

Berklee College of Music and the Garner-Glaser Foundation have announced the establishment of a new scholarship for students at the college. The Erroll Garner-Martha Glaser Endowed Scholarship, a partial-tuition award for incoming students based on merit, will be presented in partnership with the Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice.
The scholarship is made possible by the generosity of the Garner-Glaser Foundation, established in memory of legendary jazz artist and composer Erroll Garner and his manager, business partner, and producer, Martha Glaser. The Garner-Glaser Foundation is a private foundation that provides grants to individuals and nonprofit organizations. The foundations recent beneficiaries include Harlem School of the Arts, the Newport Festival Foundation in Rhode Island, Sistas Place in Brooklyn, and the Afro-American Music Institute (AAMI) in Pittsburgh.
It is an honor to be a part of the establishment of this scholarship, named after two titanic influences in the jazz world, said Terri Lyne Carrington, founder and artistic director of the Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice. Erroll Garner and Martha Glaser exemplified excellence in their work and artistry, while contributing to both gender and racial equality. I look forward to honoring their legacy through this scholarship here at Berklee.
Students entering the colleges full-time degree or diploma programs are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships such as the Erroll Garner-Martha Glaser Endowed Scholarship through the audition and interview process; no separate application is necessary. Donations to the Erroll Garner-Martha Glaser Endowed Scholarship can be submitted on the scholarship homepage.
