Limecraft today announces version 2026.5 of its AI-powered production platform. Limecraft 2026.5 https://(www.limecraft.com/limecraft-2026-5-multicam-quad-view-audio-sync/) introduces a new multicam player, audio fingerprint-based media synchronisation, real-time integration of live timecode notes, and mobile push notifications.

The release represents another major step in Limecraft's investment in integrated workflows for studio entertainment, reality, factual and other productions handling large volumes of synchronised material. It also extends Limecraft Cloud Connector with on-demand transcoding and improves the integration of live production notes.

Review multicamera recordings in quad view

The new Multicam Player (https://support.limecraft.com/support/solutions/articles/48001285306-how-to-use-the-multicam-player-in-limecraft-workspace) allows recordings belonging to the same multicam group to be played simultaneously in a quad-view grid. This provides production staff and assistant editors with a clearer overview of the available coverage. Instead of opening recordings individually, they can compare several angles, identify relevant material and understand the relationship between recordings before the material reaches the edit suite.

Synchronise media using audio fingerprints

Limecraft Edge (https://www.limecraft.com/features/edge/) now includes a beta version of audio-based media synchronisation. The new option provides an alternative when recording devices were not correctly synchronised, timecode metadata is missing or clocks have drifted.

Limecraft uses audio fingerprints from recordings and compares them to identify matching or overlapping parts. The system then proposes multicam groupings, visualises the overlap between recordings, and flags potential issues for review.

Stay informed with mobile notifications

The updated Limecraft Mobile App supports push notifications, giving operational users greater visibility into workflows while away from their desks. Users can therefore respond more quickly to feedback, processing errors or approaching subscription limits without continuously checking Limecraft Flow.

Bring live production notes directly into Limecraft

Live Timecode Notes (from EditingTools.io) are designed for timecode-aware logging during live events and studio recordings. It supports custom tags, quick-action buttons and external timecode sources, helping loggers capture structured observations while production is still under way. Using Limecraft, notes can be exported as timeline markers for applications including Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.

With Limecraft 2026.5, notes are synchronised in near real time as they are logged, making selections, production observations and other editorial context available alongside the recorded material without waiting for a separate manual handover. Combined with the Multicam Player and synchronisation capabilities, this creates a more continuous path from logging on set or in the studio to review and editorial preparation.
