Ericsson has signed an agreement multiannual with the chain of television by cable American MLB Network, that includes the use of the software graphic for sports in time real Piero.
MLB Network is the reference to the fans who follow baseball on television reaching 68 million households in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. Among its programming includes programs such as MLB Tonightwinner of multiple awards, Emmy, regular season and postseason broadcasts, original programming, highlights and reviews and analysis of the leading experts in this sport.
The broadcaster will deploy Ericsson Piero software 24 hours a day in his schedule. The system integrates with the leading suppliers of data for sport in order to facilitate the display of data and create a more engaging experience for the audience.
Piero offers a wide range of graphical effects added to the video: from simple counters to other more sophisticated, such as heat maps, forms and compositions in 3D that can be used in live productions and markers or to enhance performances. Piero provides modules customized to a wide variety of sports, from tennis to baseball, lacrosse or handball.
Piero in more than 50 broadcasters
This solution is already using by half a hundred broadcasters from around the world to provide fast, accurate graphics in sports programs and to highlight the retransmission of high profile events such as the Olympics and Formula 1.
Thorsten Sauer, director of Broadcast and Media Services of Ericsson, said that "MLB Network has selected Ericsson to go one step further in the visual experience of the American national sport." "Our software will give greater value to its programming sports and will offer a mode efficient for retain to the audience and increase the fidelity of them amateur by all them United States".
