UHD 2 - Broadcast Solutions und NEP The Netherlands bauen gemeinsam gro en 24-Kamera UHD -Wagen posted: 28/05/2019
Die Broadcast Solutions GmbH, Europas gr ter Hersteller von -Wagen, hat gemeinsam mit NEP The Netherlands, dem f hrenden Anbieter ausgelagerter Produktions-Dienstleistungen, einen gro en 24-Kamera-UHD- bertragungswagen entwickelt. Der neue -Wagen mit dem Namen UHD 2 spielt zusammen mit dem UHD 1, den Broadcast Solutions zuvor an NEP Schweden geliefert hat, eine entscheidende Rolle in der UHD-Strategie des Dienstleisters. Die beiden neuen -Wagen werden europaweit eingesetzt und sind die gr ten mobilen Produktionstools in der Flotte von NEP Europe. Die Fahrzeuge geben NEP die n tige Flexibilit t, auch gro e Produktionen mit ber 24 Kameras in UHD mit vielen verschiedenen Kameratypen zu realisieren.
Da die Nachfrage nach UHD- (und HDR-) Produktionen in ganz Europa w chst, entschied sich NEP in den Niederlanden mit dem UHD 2 f r einen Neubau, der dem zuvor erstellten UHD 1 hnlich ist. So wird der Austausch von Technik und Personal in der -Wagen-Flotte erleichtert.
W hrend der Planungsphase haben die Ingenieure von NEP Schweden und den Niederlanden mit Broadcast Solutions eng zusammengearbeitet und den UHD 1 -Wagen als Blaupause bei der Entwicklung von UHD 2 genutzt. Angepasst auf die Bed rfnisse von NEP in den Niederlanden wurden neue Technologien hinzugef gt und gegebenenfalls Workflow-Designs ge ndert.
Theo Stam, Lead Solutions Consultant bei NEP in den Niederlanden, ber den neuen -Wagen: Mit dem UHD 2 bringt NEP The Netherlands einen einzigartigen -Wagen nicht nur auf den niederl ndischen Markt, er wird auch eine hervorragende Erg nzung f r die gesamte europ ische Flotte von NEP sein. Da der UHD 2 nach dem gleichen Konzept wie UHD 1 aufgebaut ist, k nnen beide Fahrzeuge einfach kombiniert werden, um als eines der gr ten -Wagen-Gespanne Europas zu arbeiten - gemeinsam als Produktionsfahrzeuge oder aber als Backup f r das jeweils andere Fahrzeug. Das ist bei Gro veranstaltungen wie etwa dem European Song Contest oder der Eishockey-Weltmeisterschaft besonders gefragt. Ich kann mich nur ganz ausdr cklich bei Broadcast Solutions f r den reibungslosen Ablauf und die Zusammenarbeit bedanken.
Der beraus ger umige UHD 2 arbeitet derzeit mit 24 UHD-Kameras und bietet 27 Arbeitspl tze. Der Trailer ist mit zwei Schubladen ausgestattet (eine davon reicht ber die gesamte L nge des Anh ngers) und bietet ber 45 m2 Arbeitsfl che sowie VIP-Pl tze mit extra gro en UHD-Screens. Das Design der Arbeitsbereiche und speziellen Arbeitspl tze legt gro en Wert auf Flexibilit t und die maximal beste Auslastung der Ger te durch die Teams. Die Slomo-, Grafik- oder Editorpositionen k nnen je nach Bedarf individuell auf verschiedene Arbeitspl tze verteilt werden.
Der -Wagen ist f r die gr ten Produktionen ausgelegt und bietet eine gro e Vielfalt an Monitoren im Regiebereich (5x 48, 1x 30 und 4x 24 und 4x 23) und umfasst 8x Slomo Desks mit Zugriff auf 6x EVS XT4 Server. Das Management und Schalten der Videosignale bernehmen Grass Valley LDX 86N-Kameras und Karrera Videomischer - in beiden Produktionsbereichen. Die MicroN-Plattform von Riedel bietet flexible Video-Switching-, Multiviewing- und digitale Glue-Optionen; ein bew hrtes Konzept, das Broadcast Solutions bereits in mehreren schon gelieferten -Wagen eingesetzt hat. Die Riedel MicroN-L sung bietet den Anwendern mehr Flexibilit t bei geringerem Platzbedarf sowie IP-basierte Optionen f r Konnektivit t und Zugang per Remote durch den Einsatz von drei Riedel Mediornet Video-Stageboxen, die dem -Wagen hinzugef gt wurden.
So gro der -Wagen als Ganzes ist, ist auch der Audio-Bereich mit einem Lawo mc2 56 Mark III Audiopult mit 64 Fadern bemessen. Zusammen mit einer Lawo Nova73 Audiomatrix bietet der Audio-Bereich eine Vielzahl von Ein- und Ausg ngen und Wokflow-Optionen, die den -Wagen fit f r gro e Audioproduktionen machen. Kein Wunder also, dass die Feuertaufe des UHD 2 (ein Eros Ramazotti-Konzert im Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam mit 21 Kameras) im April problemlos verlief. Vor kurzem war der UHD 2 zusammen mit dem UHD 1 f r die Eishockey-Weltmeisterschaft in der Slowakei im Einsatz.
